November 11, 2025Nov 11 Hopefully someone with experience with the Collin Pro Line can help me. Overall I am really enjoying the aircraft, but how do I get my perf init data to build my V-Speed references and populate the MFD? I am in the perf init page however there is no reference to takeoff speeds showing. Second - is there a tablet? How do we connect external power? Jase Edited November 11, 2025Nov 11 by MassiveSim32

Missed a fair bit. I'm keen to find out if the Collins pro line issue is something to with the current WT avionics issue with that system that's affecting the CJ4.

I try so hard to like their aircraft but once again - no panel backlighting, no perf init take off data, no wx/vspeed transfer to MFD/speed tape and no external power available. And no custom tablet. There's probably more issues, I wish they could just do better. Jase

The panel backlighting doesn't work and it's pretty clear in this video, just take a look at the autopilot panel for a start. Another thing for Carenado to fix. Not great Edited November 11, 2025Nov 11 by MassiveSim32

There are a lot of switches in the roof panel that need to be adjusted to taste. I've not probed the handling yet but a solid IFR flight using the Pro Line above 500 ft ending with a 20 kt crosswind landing went well enough. Later: A bit more flying and I find the whole thing dreary and bound for the hangar. After some excellent Carenado releases I had expected better. Let's see what other reviewers make of it but it's not for me. Edited November 11, 2025Nov 11 by nippa

Well it's just another YouTube know it all looking for "clicks" for revenue. I don't waste much time looking at YouTube videos from so called know it alls. IF I for one did have any knowledge of the aircraft or flew it in real life I would not be wasting my time making YouTube videos about it. I would have much more important things to be doing. It's hard to understand how one's YouTube video is the "definitive" first impression for anyone else!

To cheap to get a license or whatever else would be required. From what I remember in the past they always where using the real name for the aircraft and now they cut a corner on that just like the products they release. They are very low level in depth but look nice!

I really would like to see the Fenix guys releasing a modern bizjet. 😍. Preferably a officially licensed PC-24... 'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'
