October 29, 2025Oct 29 This sort of old plane with lots and lots of dials and levers is definitely not my bucket of borscht, but I figure some here may be pretty ecstatic. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. October 29, 2025Oct 29 Administrators OK, you are in the right place now! Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!
October 30, 2025Oct 30 Looks rather nice. Definitely be getting one of these. Maybe they'd like to do a B-58 of the same sort of quality - that would really be a treat. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used
October 30, 2025Oct 30 I hope they consider doing the passenger version 😁 Have to say, it does look good in the AA livery.
October 30, 2025Oct 30 Is this the company that had a press release a few years ago that they plan to do the whole B-52 line up? That would be cool!

October 30, 2025Oct 30 Had a chance to fly the B-52 and KC-135 motion simulators at Castle AFB. Heavy controls on the B-52. Sitting in a B-52 doing engine runs was wild! Edited October 30, 2025Oct 30 by TuFun

You might be thinking of SimWorks Studios. It's all gone very quiet now, so I don't hold out much hope. https://msfsaddons.com/2024/09/09/simworks-studios-shows-off-the-cockpit-modeling-on-its-upcoming-b-52-for-msfs-2/ Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
October 30, 2025Oct 30 I am hoping the lack of proper wheel animation (Front landing gear turning) was because it was recorded from a replay? For that matter do all landing gear mechanisms front and rear steer like a lot of other large aircraft do? Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

I also saw that the outrigger wing tip gear don't seem to touch the ground, tho IRL that seems to have been dependent on fuel load, etc. On the plus side, it does look like they've modeled the wild in-flight wing flex the Buff is known for 🙂 (23' IIRC!). Will be interesting to see if they've been able to code for the steerable gear - "one off" things like this are frequently impossible, or at least impractically difficult in the sim (e.g., modeling prop drag). All in all, VERY excited to see this, and though GKS aren't really known for their flight models, as long as this one is half decent, I can see adding it to my collection as it looks very well modeled (as with their other addons).

Are you flying 2024? I can't see it in the 2024 MP? Jase

I read some blurb that said 2024 MP release should be very soon, too - I presume it was submitted more or less contemporaneously with 2020. 👍
