and 2024 users !

 

Is it possible to use MSFS2024 with an Internetconnection with only max. 50 mbit ??

I signed a two-year contract with a provider for 300 Mbit ( I live in a rural area, unfortunately ) and was promised that it would be ready after about 1.5 years, but since so much has changed in the world over the last two years, it seems to be delayed quite a bit now.
And if 50 Mbit/s isn't enough, I probably won't be able to upgrade to MSFS2024 until I switch to the new provider.

Is anyone using MSFS2024 with 50 Mbit, and can they comment on it ?

It should work. Why don’t you try it? You can buy gamepass for a month (it’s $1 if you haven’t used it before) and check it out yourself.

When initially I took the Game Pass subscription for my Xbox with MSFS2024, I recall I’d no more than 100 Mbps (could be even 50) with my internet provider (and it did its job for my enjoyment), but since then I’ve moved to higher speeds. However, frankly, the benefit is questionable for my MSFS2024, at least on Xbox.

I then switched to full MSFS purchase on the Xbox. So, as said above, you can get the Game Pass for a month (it will apply to both PC and Xbox), and let it expire at the end of the month, if you don’t like it.

And, of course, you can always keep your MSFS2020. I recall you have an excellent new system….

Same here. I get 60 on a good day, 50ish on a bad day. This is what 2024 does on my system...

...we're promised fibre next year.😇

Oh yeah, that´s a good idea, didn`t think about that so i will see, but in any case, I'm waiting for the SU4 final release !

hold off until su4 has come out.  for some people it works fine for others its simply just doesnt cut it.  Look at the steam reviews,  

Just because a few people think its the best thing ever doesnt mean it is.  Hold onto your money and wait till SU4.

SU4 will come when it is released, no need to wait 😉

I have a 50Mbit max connection; I just tested and I am getting 44.7! I have almost no issue running 2024. Once in a while there is some blurriness, sometimes photogrammetry takes time to fully resolve, but these are exceptions and from reports here it seems to affect even people with fiber connections. You should be fine.

I would be surprised if the MS servers were chucking out much more than 50 GB at the best of times and often less at high demand times.  A lot may depend on how stable your ISP is though as I have a 150 MB connedtion but it often falls close to its 100 MB minimum speed guarantee.

Ah nah man that internet is just fine. You'll do fine with that. Might as well get it, enjoy su3 before su4 is released. If you're brave and willing, su4 beta is pretty good. 96% of my addons work sans a plane or two but that is on the mend as we speak. 

Avsim has a lot of negativity but some I would consider constructive criticism towards MSobo. Most just bash anything that doesn't work and forget they're in a beta so the complaining ramps up. Don't listen to them, please. Most of us fly all the time and have been doing so in 2024 for at least several months now. Kind of like online reviews: most people are happy with the product they buy but the ones that aren't will absolutely leave a negative review (I do when something doesn't work for me).
