A2A seem always to have had a great reputation for handling physics, while BS focused more on systems. but BS has improved their handling significantly with each addon, so… I’m conflicted because addons are mainly attractive to me in terms of handling fidelity, and that’s nearly impossible to grok from videos, etc. anyhow, your perspective is on point as always 😃👍 I measure addons in a similar way to how you are describing. Overall fidelity and immersion comes above mission and type. Clearly I am a bit biased because I posted some negative perceptions I have with the Aerostar in an earlier post but notwithstanding that, I'd honestly say that the Dukes feel much more mature, 'finished' and polished. Sound is a solid 10/10 and the immersion factor is very high. The only negative point I had with the Dukes was that the piston version's engines were screamers, and there was no built in headphone simulation. Nick being a truly, jolly good guy though, added a brilliant headset simulation mode to the recently released updates to the Dukes. I long to have the same feelings when flying the A2A Aerostar that I have when flying the Comanche, Dukes and Black Square Bonanza and Baron. You mean just like your opinion 😉 If you looking for facts and not opinions, try Google AI ... it still has some ways to go, but it's getting more accurate day by day and provides source links to the data used to present it's information. Is it perfect, NOT YET, but it can save you a lot of time surfing the "click bait" as you put it. It's saved me a ton of time determining fact from fiction, but as always some validation is required. Dang you really hate these content creators? So what is it you actually hate about these folk? Because they make money? Because you don't agree with them? Sure, there is A LOT of click bait on YouTube, endless advertising (even when one pays NOT to see advertising, still get it) and those pandering to suppliers of products (Linus), but it's not everyone and sometimes useful and accurate information is exposed. I don't monetize, but because YouTube can change it's policy at a whim, Ads are still run on my videos ... it's one reason why I moved to Vimeo subscription. On a side note: YouTube have graciously sent me an email saying I can select the type of ads they run on my channels ... I'm so lucky (sarcasm mode) ... unfortunately "None" is not one of their options. Edited December 6, 2025Dec 6 by SayAgain Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. - Carl Sagan

December 6, 2025Dec 6 Commercial Member What to say, except - what a ragebait with "in the perfect sim". No offense to MSFS fans (me included), but it's far from a perfect sim. There is no such thing as a perfect sim in fact. There is no such thing as a perfect addon, although few are quite close. December 6, 2025Dec 6 I have used Comanche a lot, but it drives me crazy when the plane starts jumping around for no reason. This happened to me in 2020 and 2024, and the only way to mitigate this problem is to lower the turbulence settings to the minimum. That's why I haven't bought this plane. Do you know if it has the same problem?
December 6, 2025Dec 6 Author "The Perfect" can be used IMO with a range of semantic interpretations. Perfect sim as in the one that, with all of it's present limitations, bugs, innacuracies is still my main go-to sim because it provides me with adequate pretty much everything, from the scenery to even the details of some addons, and all of that with it's unique performance. Yes OFC I use other sims (mostly DCS and Xp12 these days) for specific details of aircraft addons I have for them, and they're extraordinary too in doing so, but for simulating a soaring task over areas I know well from RL (never used Condorsoaring again since I started soaring tasks playing in FS 2024 ! and yet FS 2024 is far from "Perfect" in terms of soaring aerodynamics and weather modelling, and Condorsoaring surely does some of these aspects of the simulation better, but it can't give me the "feel of being there" and even some aspects of fighting faint thermals IRL 🙂 which is what I get due to the incomplete / not perfect convection model used if FS 2024), or a commercial flight between two airports I also travelled from/to IRL, with a scenery that extraordinarily reproduces the reality, there's no other way than FS 2024 for me, at least at the present state of those other sims. Regarding the modelling of aircraft, A2A is well known for it's attention to details. I watched the video and although I only own their Comanche and seldom use it just as any other GA aircraft (other than gliders) in FS 2020 and now 2024, given the specificities of it's RW counterpart and the quality in modelling I am used to as a long time A2A user I believe it is probably the "perfect twin" for this sim 🙂 not saying there can't be or actually are already many other good GA twin addons for FS 2024, but because I am sure that for the kind of aircraft it models it surely must be the most perfect approach to it's modelling in the general purpose sims we have today.
