1. Expansion packs (Cargo and Medevac) included (no separate add-ons needed).

As with the Maddog MD83 & MD88 addons, it's a little irritating not to see a little additional discount for people who purchased the Expansion packs which are now bundled into the main package.

  • I get where you’re coming from, and I agree with part of it: doing failures well is hard, and if they’re handled poorly they absolutely can feel like “game mechanics.” On the minor failures point

  • You’re not wrong — the existing 2020 version is a solid aircraft, and it does fly well in 2024. We’re proud of that. But the 2024 release isn’t a small patch or a “native checkbox” update. It’s e

  • AND a failures module??   Ok this is great!   @lwt1971 I don't own the 2020 model but I do own FSW's C414 and Sierra...love both....before that I have their Falcon 50 for P3D, FSW makes great stuff.

I thought I would bump this up and ask if anyone has picked it up and if so what are your thoughts? How is the aircraft, flight model, systems, etc.

I have mixed feeling. Installer doesn't word as intended, so you can't install to the default community folder due to long folder/file names. As of right now you have to install it to temporary folder and drag it to community folder by name. Not a big deal but why?

EFB is major step back. I like the old one better. There is no way to set fuel and set payload in EFB. You have to go back to standard MSFS menu - which is pain. Other then circuit breakers cockpit functionality is the same as older version

There some minor bugs not show stopper by annoying. Aerodynamic has changed controls are more sensitive now. I actually like older version better in this respect.

Graphics and sounds are much better. The package include normal/long range pax, ambulance and cargo versions.

My personal feeling is product need more polishing/bug fixing.

The sounds have not changed. Both the 2020 version and 2024 version use the exact same Boris sound package as confirmed by Momo on their Discord. He said no changes were made so maybe you haven’t flown the 2020 version since the sounds were updated.

Sounds like it's worth waiting until this is in a sale anyway. Lots of bugs reported on Discord.

  • 1 month later...

I bought the new  version of the  2024 model with my $20 rebate this morning as having no great affection for the Lear , I was undecided until then.

I'm a lazy simmer and always found that flying the Lear accurately took more than average effort.

Well this new model looks , flies and sounds great. For me the latest updated version of the 2024 model is worth the money.

I can't report any bugs but I had to completely uninstall the 2020 version to make it work.

Although the FS2020 version of the Lear35A works in FS2024 Free Flight, my understanding is you can't have the FS2020 and FS2024 native versions of the Lear35A in the same Community folder at the same time.

I picked this up last night to serve as a steam gauge IFR training platform.

I have to say from a brief test flight I’m really liking the flight model 👍, I was taking a look at some clean stalls and deliberately added a little bit of aileron to antagonise it..I ended up rolled inverted!

It’s very nice to handle but very hard work with fighter jet levels of performance.

Only problem is I can’t find the manual and I’m finding the beat frequency between the engines a bit over done. Other than that it’s got a very realistic feel to it in VR.
