New Nvidia Driver

Featured Replies

Been running this since this morning with no isues in MSFS2024.  Nothing specific for flight sim, but no downsides noted and everything running smoothly.

NVIDIA GeForce 591.59 WHQL Driver Available for Download https://share.google/10X6zp2NawHfmQioB

Just mentioning MSFS2024 so this is not considered non MSFS specific and moved.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

The last 2 Nvidia drivers .44 and .59 don't work well with my 3080: flickering, stutters and low fps. Back to 581.80.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Been using it since yesterday. No better, no worse 🙂

Still issue when I mirror output to my recording devices (BMD Hyperdeck 4K Shuttle Pro), the primary display will switch to 1920 x 1080 instead of native 3440 x 1440.  Not sure if this is an MSFS, nVidia, or Win11 issue.  My work around is currently to run MSFS 2024 first (in sim), then turn on my Hyperdeck 4K Shuttle Pro ... this will keep the resolutions the same at 3440 x 1440 ... BUT, if I Alt + enter in MSFS, the it "might" revert to 1920 x 1080.  I think this is an MSFS 2024 issue and not an nVidia issue as other games/sim don't have this problem (P3D, XP all good).

Might try the new driver just to see if anything changes, thanks for posting.

Thanks, I went to 581.80 just now. It did improve stability / performance. I was upgrading from 581.72. Gave me headroom to raise graphic settings in the game. Had to turn "smooth motion" back on again, and change the preset to latest in Nvidia app.

Does it solve the cockpit slow rendering issue?

When you say flickering, you mean frame gen related strobing?

I tried with no FG too but no luck.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

I get the same flickering. Only on the second start of the sim, the flickering is miracoulously gone. Extremely annoying.

Happy at 581.94 at this point I don't see any technical reason to update the driver, 591* is a mess anyway 🙃

How is it a mess? And how is 581.94 better for you than 581.80?
