SIMBRIEF Down?

Featured Replies

Yeah there was a little hint of nostalgia doing like I did in the past.  I used an A306 GE fuel profile in LittleNavMap, lets see how it goes.

I found there are some aircraft the only way to import is with Simbrief! Can't even use the old FS.pln thing. Kinda a bad deal.

Looks like it’s back up. Page loaded for me.

good excuse to fly GA and VFR...

Huh?  I fly exclusively GA and often VFR... and I use Simbrief to plan every flight that's not simply a local sightseeing one.  In other words, almost all.

Simbrief ain't just a tool for the tube crowd, y'know.

True, what you said…

I’m mostly in the tube crowd. However,  even for VFR, sometimes I like to enter my (custom) Lat/Long co-ordinates of interest directly into the route string of SimBrief, for easier import to the FMS.

We don’t know how much we miss it, unless we don’t have it for a bit.

Is there ANY information on WHAT HAPPENED and if there is a way to remediate further occurence?

Thanks!

Well, stuff happens.  A three hour system outage isn't gonna end the world.

As for me, whenever I run a flight plan, I always save the (ActiveSky) weather and the Simbrief flight plan in a bunch of formats, so I can load historical wx with Activesky and load the FP from a .pln file or an aircraft-specific flight plan file.  I have a fairly large library of historical wx scenarios and flight plans banked up.

Sorry for any confusion Bob- never thought the world was ending- just thought it was unusual and was seeing if anyone knew why.

Appreciate your thoughtful input as always- Tom was very kind to me and I am glad AvSim is still here.

There's still hope that he might change it to a St. Louis Cardinals avatar.

Maybe when they move to Chicago.  And change their name.  And fire their head of baseball operations... oops, that one already happened!

Or maybe... Nah!  😁
