Photorico San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport

Featured Replies

Photorico's TJSJ San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport is now out:

TJSJ San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport - Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - Orbx

IMHO, looks way better than the LatinVFR TJSJ.

Thoughts?

Anyone noticed any issues yet?

It looks nice but I don't see any reason to purchase the same airport again. LatinVFR still works fine for me.

That’s looks nice, also interested in hearing reviews.

I also have the LVFR version, and don’t normally buy the same airport twice, but the last time I flew in there I had to verify I had the airport active and that I wasn’t just seeing a default airport.  It’s certainly their product that has aged the worst in my view (and I do still happily use a number of their other airports).

I just took it for a spin.  It's a great addon and much nicer than the outdated LVFR which served us well for years.  I was surprised to see the AI parked where they are supposed to park.  Only negative at the moment is that there are no flags in the Teodoro Moscoso bridge - other than that, I'm happy.

It looks very nice and it is much more up to date.  Performance is very good. There's a glitch with the alignment of the runways and taxiways, that they need to fix right away!

I just took it for another spin and noticed that the flags on the Teodoro Moscoso bridge are indeed there - you just have to get close enough for them to pop up.  Great addon.

I was about to buy this when I found out about not using TAA with this scenery? I use TAA because all the DLSS modes for me don't look as good.

From their FB post:

"In preparation for the TJSJ release on the 7th, we recommend using this scenery on anything but TAA mode. Why? The high density of reflective metal frames and overlapping reflective glass around Terminal A will cause texture flickering at a distance, as the Temporary Antialiasing is very aggressive on reflections!

We use DLSS, even on VR Mode. 😉

Note that this is not a problem at close proximity to the terminal."

Is there a GSX profile included with it?

shoot me an email with the details at [email protected]. The taxiways and runways were built on the default ones. We only updated the textures.

I had ai landing on the grass and misdirection's on taxiing, I'm wondering if it is the underlying navdata then. I was landing on Rwy 10.

We recommend DLSS as TAA doesn't like Glass LODs. Some flickering happens on  Terminal A (high window/frame density) as it gets smaller. That being said, we develop these products for costumers with average setups. Depending on your rig, you may not even have flickering. On my RTX 4080 its barely noticeable....but I transitioned to DLSS after the latest NVIDIA update, never going back to TAA.

However it doesn't mean you cant use TAA or any other setting to your liking.

possibly, did you remove LatinVFR first? (assuming you had it). We use both FSTL and AIG....no issues.

The problem with dlss is the ghosting of gauges in the virtual cockpit.

edit. I’d love to use it. But can’t accept that

+1

Deal breaker.

I was  born in PR, so this was an airport I was really looking forward to release.
