I heard one when I was a kid - a very unusual sound. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). February 17Feb 17 I was on 849C Flight, attached to HMS Ark Royal. This was in 1965/66. Yes the engines were Double Mamba with contra rotating propellors. The AEW3 was for airborne early warning, which we had 5 on the Flight. We also had a COD (courier on delivery) that took post off and on while at sea, amongst other operations. sauviat Martin Parr Retired professional yacht skipper for vessels up to 46m System: Omen 40L GT13-0054na Gaming PC; Windows 11 Home 64-bit OS; Intel Core i9-10900K CPU @ 3.7GHz; RAM 32GB; Samsung S34J55x Monitor 3440x1440 @75 Hz Resolution; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Ti. I didn't realise. I though they were just ASW and AEW. Another reason I like coming here; with the experience of other people here I learn a lot of stuff. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). February 17Feb 17 I would really, Really, REALLY like a High Fidelity carrier aircraft of any kind where the addon truly emphasizes the low and slow flight regime around the Boat! Nothing we’ve got in the game so far comes close (well, AFAIK / in relation to DCS!)
February 17Feb 17 No idea if anyone is planning this, but if they are I'll buy it. Another one of the reasons I re-instated P3D on my system recently Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

February 19Feb 19 As a boy, I lived ( twice ) at RAF Watton in Norfolk, which shared its runway with the Royal Navy at Griston. We often saw Gannets and Sea Venoms operating overhead. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org

Black Box have just released a potentially even more obscure aircraft (The Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer) and they must be hopeful of making sales on it. Although money isn't the only reason as we know, otherwise a lot of the Freeware developers wouldn't make their pet projects and put them out to everyone for free. For example, I get the feeling Black Box develop aircraft they would like to see (Like the Bulldog) and then whatever sales they get is a bonus. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).
