iniBuilds VHHH for MSFS2024 announced

Pretty sure you needed a third party addon for double jetways in FS9/FSX/P3D, it wasn't a native feature.

Exactly! We had SODE (SimObject Display Engine) for that, which could handle multiple jetways.

Unfortunately, the developer didn't see any added value for MSFS and has taken his site offline and made it password-protected.

Frankly, I'm also frustrated by the fact that boarding an A380 can take up to an hour when there's only one jetway available.

Why is there not a single shot that actually shows the airport we see from the plane in the preview? The interiors and all certainly look nice, but some shots of the ramps and actual apron etc. w

The fact that this was possible 20 years ago in FS9, and not possible right now is completely insane.

I wish they would do a scenery that's not already done. I have the WF VHHH and it's running fine for me. Why haven't anyone done a LFPG? Come on Inibuilds try something new!!!!!

same since p3d days.  they will only make what they can sell.  for example Id love a Lagos DNMM but not many people (kids) would buy it.  Same with Delhi.  Yet will soon have 4 versions (i think) of Palma, why because it sells

Yeah, I recon you're right. It seems the younger generation is more interested in what's inside the terminal and cabins than actual flight simulation, which is now being regarded as a by-product.

Good to hear about Delhi/VIDP. I just flew around there recently...in the PMDG 777 ...🙂...and have also transited/visited that airport several times in RW.

It's consistently ranked among the top 10 busiest airports globally, including the most recent 2025/2026 data: yet we're more likely to see another New York, London or Chicago, than Delhi.

Ok, didn't know about that. But I'm still surprised nobody else has tried.

as ive said numerous times, fsdreamteam and flytampa have both admitted before that eyecandy sells more then proformance. Fsdreamteam when questioned about the burger king girl in KORD and flytampa when they put a shark in the water at YSSY and all the glizty eye candy at Vegas,  and that was at least  10 years ago in p3d days.  Umberto quite openly said "the more eye candy the more sales"  at least he's honest about it.

Now you look at the new influx of kids to the hobby constantly locked in their rooms watching twitch, embracing hype, pay to beta early access cons, and unfinished untested cheap tat

The market has changed. The devs are cashing in it as would anyone trying to make a buck in the new younger gamer industry verses the older more niche simmer market which didnt make as much sales/money

You guys are so funny. The bar is so much higher than it used to be for everything from accuracy of ground markings, terrain and elevation, vehicle routes, GSX profiles, interior and exterior detailing and all for the same price that airport addons have been for 10-15 years but devs are 'cashing in' and 'only care about eye candy'.

Maybe take a step back and realize how good you have it before bringing out the tired old younger generation winging.

In principle I agree...what we experience in the sim nowadays was hard to even think about circa 2005.

That said, I am not sure we actually need another VHHH when the existing WFS one is updated often and already excellent.

Based on the preview images, the runway and taxiway markings are incorrect — VHHH does not follow FAA standards. The high-mast lighting models are wrong as well; they clearly just reused their existing models. The terminal’s color is also inaccurate, which is something a friend of mine in Hong Kong pointed out.

Ini’s assembly-line approach to airport development is clearly aimed at people who only care about interiors, getting them to pay for it, while completely neglecting the rest of the actual flying experience.

I just read on the WF Scenery Studio Facebook page they are working on Hong Kong International Airport V2.

From his post:

Hong Kong International Airport V2 is officially in development. This will be a major upgrade featuring completely rebuilt models, enhanced details, and extensive performance optimizations to deliver the most realistic representation of Hong Kong in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The new version will also include the under-construction new terminal and will be released for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.

As if things couldn't get even more disappointing.

Their ZGGG is very outdated. The real airport has almost doubled in size in comparison to their current rendition of it.

Why wouldn't they instead choose to bring that up to date? Now we have 2 hong kongs instead

I didn't post the entire message as it wasn't about VHHH but they did say the following about ZGGG:

After the completion of Hong Kong V2, our next project will focus on Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport expansion, including new runways and satellite terminals to match real-world construction progress.

A quick look at there page would have showed you what there up too.

Ah ok. They had been a bit silent lately. And the VHHH announcement made me assume it was because of inibuilds lol

It generally looks pretty good.  More detailed than WF Scenery VHHH and I own that as well.  If the performance is good, and the price is good, and it's compatible with Sam Scene 3D Hong Kong, this could be one to buy.
