Maybe I missed a post somewhere, or maybe this is just my personal problem, but have the ads on this forum intensified over the last couple weeks? My screen is all of a sudden is littered with ads. I thought maybe it was a virus or a like on my PC but have logged into several different devices with the same result.

Totally agree.  Ads are aweful now and impede our avsim expierence.

Agreed. And it's slowing down the whole page for me. Infuriating!

HORRIBLE!

Destroys the experience- looking for an alternate site if anyone has suggestions..... I SO MISS TOM- this never happened with him.

Terrible!!

My thread in Hangar Chat has been closed, but the final message was anything but encouraging....

"......The site IT guy will try to tone it down mostly for phones.
Nothing more will be done....."

I do not use a phone to access this site, so it looks like I will have to use an ad blocker for the first time in my online career

Malwarebytes has a free ad blocker.

I don’t know whether it works on all platforms.  It  does work on my Windows PC. I’m not sure if it works on the iPad. I haven’t tried that or on android or other platforms. Search around and see what might or will work for you. And you are correct as others have noted. It’s become a real pain to have to wade through all the adverts that pop up and waste our time.

I have been on Avsim for over 10 years. So far, I have seen zero adds on Avsim. It is easy to install an add blocker. So it is up to you. If you don't adds get rid of them. It is your responsibility. And so easy, even a cave man can do it.
