you confirmed that BATC doesn't inject any VFR-like trafic so far? I think the video mentionned that AI injected trafic are a long way to go...

I've seen GA Jets using FSLTL. So yes it does inject some GA traffic. Not Cessna 172s or Piper Cherokees. I'm sure that will come.

  • A very basic first step. Stage 1 will not work at untowered airifields.

"just take-off" 😉 Unfortunately, even on non-controlled airfield, you're not flying alone and air-to-air communication is something that is worth to get simulated 😉

I think those are aircraft with IFR flight plans. I hope its possible to generate some random traffic flying VFR.

Could be my imagination but I have also noticed more GA aircrafts around

Could be they are slowly testing.

Cool to see anyway

Nah, I didn't say that sorry if that wasn't clear. They do have GA traffic and I see them regularly. Now that I've re-read what I've written, I can see why I sounded so silly.

Yeah, there's an option to use 2024 GA traffic as a "check" box for BATC last time I checked.

Can BeyondATC use the new traffic models that come with MSFS 2024?

BeyondATC can use GA traffic models available in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This option can be enabled in BeyondATC option tab.

Just to clarify: GA traffic is supported, provided the aircraft are operating under IFR. VFR traffic is not currently implemented or tested, as we need a more robust VFR environment before integrating such traffic into the ATC engine.

I'm waiting in BATC AI VFR (GA) traffic (in addition of the support of my own VFR flight). Not only Bizjet departing in relative big airport. I would love to see Cessna and Piper making pattern, in my small airfield (with CTAF), small aircraft joining and landing, then taxiing to transcient...

BATC inject GA traffic but only ones flying strictly IFR flight plans unlike S.I. My opinion is that these two option are miles apart and will remain at least until the second BATC VFR stage.  I mean S.I even have an option to change from VFR to IFR mid flight and airpace penetration and so much more. Of course it comes at a price unfortunately, a monthly such 🙂 Only thing for me is that sometimes it feels like S.I is trying to please me too much. If for example for fun if I say that I want to exit a Control Zone via "Donald Duck" it gladly just say cleared to exit the control zone via "Donald Duck". So it feel a bit ureliable in that way.

That's what AI does.

'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'

Yes true but in that case the goal of the developer has to be to take advantage of the good bits of AI and regulate the bits that try to ”please” the user in an unrealistic fashion.

Actually, VFR support is in the last 1.9.0 Experimental that required a Supporter Package (https://www.beyondatc.net/pricing). I love to remind that the core program of BeyondATC is in Early Access on top of which you add the Experimental Build 😉
