  • A very basic first step. Stage 1 will not work at untowered airifields.

"just take-off" 😉 Unfortunately, even on non-controlled airfield, you're not flying alone and air-to-air communication is something that is worth to get simulated 😉

    That's what AI does.

Yep, same here. I'm eagerly waiting for a competitor to Say Intentions. The last Say Intentions price increase due to VAT taxes for European customer that wasn't includes by Stripe (and SI) yet, will increase the need for an alternative. So far, BeyondATC is... behind. Let's be patient 😉

Am I the only one not seduce by the quality of voices in this stage 1 VFR demo ? Compared to my SI in US/VFR it's sounds 😉 almost night and day.

I love developers that keep their word. Keep it up, BATC team and thank you!

BATC & FSLTL should have been hired by ASOBO. 5 years later, and the default ATC & AI Traffic still need an overhaul.

Why? MS would just wrap them up in contracts that limit their scope of work.

Really looking forward to this.

I have no idea where those voices come from

I use the basic voices on BATC and they sound nothing like what we heard in the demo.

Not SI quality, but very good.

Not hard on the ears at all.

That's weird. Most of BATC video I'm watching have these (relatively) low and robotic voices. One of the immersion key features of SI is the voice quality. I'm flying 90% in US. Can you point me to a recent BATC video example where voices are less robotic, please? I can't remember is that needs to have extra credit/subscription for premium voices?

https://youtu.be/wV6GPsMlJo4?t=627 - in this video the AI have been set to use basic voices and the controllers to use premium so you can hear the difference. I always set everything to premium which costs $10 per 250,000 characters. I get the 750,000 pack which lasts me months, but this obviously depends on where and how often you fly.

I only use basic voices and they are more then fine. Not robotic at all. Again not SI quality.

Stary around 4:00

Thank you, Ron. Premium really makes the difference (for my ears). I use SI with the max AI injected trafic (liner/ga), and so there's a lot of chating. Could be triggy to get back to something less quality-wise impressive. But at the end of day, price is the key and with the last increase (VAT), SI wasn't cheap and will be not even cheaper! 😉
