I will pay for a video - Install of PMDG 738 Liveries

Featured Replies

Hi Everybody,

I will pay someone to make a video showing me how to select a livery for the pmdg 738 aircraft from within MS2024. I've now spent three days trying to find them. All I get from support is they are in the content manager. I have been in every menu I can find in 2024 and I have not been able to find these liveries.

If you're seeing the 738 itself, but not the liveries, it's got to be a path problem. FS2024 is not seeing the liveries where you're installing them. If all else fails, delete the 738, OC3 and er

Mike,  I sent you a PM to see if I can help off-line.

Wouldn't they be in the PMDG OC3 app?

Which is correct.  The PMDG OC3 app is where you'll find MANY liveries ... not within MSFS 2024.

The organization of liveries in MSFS2024 is a huge annoyance and the PMDG file structure is particularly annoying.

One shortcut I find helpful though is if you type the name of the airline, it will (depending on how the aircraft is named) often show you exactly which aircraft you need to click on to find the particular livery.

They are installed via the OC3 program and show green check boxes on all of them

Where are they installed to? Which folder in OC3 settings?

I'm not near my flight computer at the moment, but if I remember correctly, you choose the aircraft, click on configure, and then you can select the livery?  It has been a while since I have done this, so hopefully this is close.  I do remember that in 2024 it is not very intuitive.

That's what I did, no liveries.

If you installed liveries thru OC3 and you're not seeing them in FS2024 I'd check the Settings within OC3 and see if the paths are correct. My path points to the Community folder, not Community2024 (if that makes a difference.)

I've now tried to copy the 738 and the livers into both folders. Still don't show up. So it can look in community or the community2024

If you go to \Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\pmdg-aircraft-738-liveries there is a file called layout.json. Open it with notepad or Notepad++ and check the paths to the liveries.

Also suggest you do a repair of the 738 in OC3 and see if that fixes the issue.

If all else fails, delete the 738, OC3 and erase their directories in Community. Start over.
