WASM Crash

Featured Replies

Anybody else for example on the pmdg 737 when I go and add fuel automatically from the simbrief profile on the FMC I get the red screens with a WASM crash this morning.

Just tried it with the blended wiglet 737 700 and it did not crash, so I think it's a certain 737-700 with the Split Scimitar

NVM. After a few minutes of setting up the flight it crashed also

Haven't had problems with loading fuel from the PMDG 737-700 EFB using SB flight plan. Or any PMDG aircraft.

I had two crashes this week alone, one in the 800 on a long haul international and the other in the 777 FACT-KIAD. 🤬

Are you guys loading your Navdata using the Navigraph hub or the EFB?

Lots of wasm crashes since the -700 update.  Try deleting your panel states and wasm cache.  It helped me.

Are you asking about the database? I use the Navigraph's Hub, is there an issue with that I'm not aware of?

No. I use the hub instead of using the EFB in aircraft. Because the installing Navdata using the EFB in the 777 won't work for me. Navigraph informed to just use the hub until PMDG or them figure out why.

1. Always use EFB to update Navdata. Avoid the Hub. It's good for Fenix, iFLy, FSL, Active Sky.

2. DO NOT import Simbrief created flightplans via FMC RTE import. Type it into FMC manually (I know it's a pain, but...)

3. Make sure you have identical Navdata for both sim and PMDG birds (all of them)

There is a possible issue with converting SB flighplans into PMDG format. It's very difficult to say, who's to blame in this instance, PMDG or Navigraph, but since  beginning of March forums have exploded with PMDG WASM complaints. PMDG marketing guru insists that WASM probability correlates with a number of add-ones you have installed, which is total BS, as you may understand.

Anyway,  entering FP manually and updating navdata via EFB only, keep me away from WASM crashes (knock on the wood)

I always use the hub for updating Navdata in all my addons including PMDG and Fenix, apart from a minor issue I had last week which Navigraph fixed within the hour I've had no issues.
I also create flight plans for ALL my flights in Simtoolkit pro (which uses simbrief) I then import them into the FMC/MCDU without having to type them in manually and don't get any WASM crashes.

Sorry I know it sounds like I'm trying to be specificaly contradictive to G-YMML1 but I don't have any issues doing it the way he says not to. 🤷‍♂️

You can export your Simbriefplan into a *.pln - file with the "SimbriefDownloader". export your plan into the PMDG Flightplan folder.
And import it in the FMS via "CompanyRoute". So i did not have any WASM Crash with Simbrief Flightplans.

Most "Real Pilots" ALWAYS type the plan into FMS manualy.

I also always use the Navigraph Hub AND importing via the FMC with no issues .

Hit and miss aparently

Depends on the operator; my company uses route uplink (as well as winds and performance data) on the FMS.

LOL. 😉

The functionality worked in the past and I doubt Navigraph guys made any sudden changes to the .pln, so either there's something wrong with the integration or recent updates to PMDG's code, hosed something up on the product side. Thanks for the info though, that was helpful.
