We're about to get the most in depth bizjet for MSFS ever and people are like "wellll....I don't know about this FSReborn team" lol Who said "I don't know about this FSReborn Team" ? Is it not ok for someone not to have come across this developer before? How do you know that it will be "the most in-depth bizjet for MSFS ever" ? Will it be more in-depth than the FSW Lear? I was not aware that it had Garmin 3000 before seeing that video. I was hoping for something different like Fusion Proline which the Praetor will have. Not that I have anything against Garmin 3000, I just think I have enough aircraft that are powered by these avionics in my hangar already. Edited May 13May 13 by Farlis

May 13May 13 This should be fun: can anyone concisely and objectively describe what makes FSR planes special? I own the Sting and the 500; I thoroughly respect the passion that Raul has in both creating his planes and interacting with the community; and I almost certainly plan to buy the Phenom. But I will admit that I never quite got on with the 500 in FS20, probably mostly due to too many other planes to juggle at the time; and recently when I tried it again in FS24, it seemed like it was good but had been too obviously eclipsed by BlackSquare and A2A products--admittedly not a fair comparison due to the amount of time that has elapsed since the 500 came out. In short, I don't feel I've ever quite understood what people find so special about these planes but I would like to hear others' thoughts on it. Edited May 13May 13 by GregP

We'll just have to settle for realistic fitment, though 🙂 This is a banger of an aircraft, and it will, based on the already released FSR500, be a worthy addition to any sim hangar where High Fidelity is the priority. 👍 https://piperowner.org/piper-m600-a-technological-triumph-of-power-speed-and-safety/ Edited May 13May 13 by UrgentSiesta fumble fingers

I'd say FSR specializes in the extra things that go with real world aviation. Aside from the fact that I believe the M500 (errr FSR500)'s best parts are the sounds and turbine simulation/flight model of any turbine out there, Raul likes to go above and beyond to make sure items that really aren't seen are in his addons. I'm personally not a huge fan of the G1000 in the sim. IRL - absolutely give me glass any day. I prefer the G5000/3000 but I also highly enjoy a mixture of glass and analog. My favorite avionics is the GTNxi and I prefer the one by TDS. So since the M500 doesn't use my favorite avionics I don't fly it as much - but it's still the best sounding and best turbine sim out there imo. Then again the Turbine Duke is basically as amazing...Also a favorite. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

I've bought every single FSReborn addon on release day (mostly because they made the two LSAs that I fly most often in the real world 😎). I was just curious as to unambiguity of Ryan's "this will be the most in-depth Bizjet ever!" comment. I wondered if he was on the beta team, for repaints. In short, I don't feel I've ever quite understood what people find so special about these planes but I would like to hear others' thoughts on it. Pretty simple: AFAIK it's the most deeply modeled modern glass cockpit turboprop ever made available for either version of MSFS. So while Black Square and A2A are generally the penultimate in Hi Fi GA addons, they're "limited" to steam gauge cockpits. That's all fine and good, but still, the Situational Awareness provided by the Gx000 suite is (IMHO) unparalleled, both in-sim and (I imagine) IRL. The M500/600 are also very highly automated - I liken them to driving a brand new Lexus where basically all one has to do is hit the start button and go! This is GREAT for me as I get quite enough Cold Start action in DCS World. In MSFS, I just want to focus on flying and going places and (attempting) to keep my nav skills sharp(ish). There's a handful of reviews online by IRL Piper M pilots affirming the realism of the addon. IIRC, the only inaccuracy is in lack of prop drag (affecting the ability to accurately set power and speed on final, and obviously, to slow down in general). Raul explained that's a missing feature of MSFS 2020's flight model and that he didn't want to hack it with an invisible speedbrake or something. Hopefully, Asobo have caught up with that and we'll see it rectified for this new version. For me personally, I find the flight model to be exceptionally enjoyable (it's "full CFD"), and knowing that, with failures enabled, I have to be careful to properly operate the aircraft (even one so highly automated (as IRL)). Now, looking at the feature list below (which i reordered according to my personal priorities), especially today in v2024, it may not seem all that special. But when it released? Yeah, IIRC, only the A2A Comanche was available, and Black Square had "only" released their TBM as their first major stand alone addon. And even so, the below list still qualifies the addon as High Fidelity in any regard. E.g., the FSW Lear v2 has just reached a similar level of fidelity (it was always good, but now it's GREAT 🙂 ). In short, I still fly the FSR500 regularly today. And more often than my Turbine Duke, the recent Caravan, and even the new (to me) Aerostar. It's kinda my Goldilocks addon for MSFS. And now the Phenom AND M600 are coming soon...? Oh yeah - SIGN ME UP! "FSR500 has been developed using the latest tools available in MSFS, including the latest Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) flight modelling. The development of the FSR500 was made in partnership with pilots who fly single engine turboprops of a similar specification in real-life and the aircraft is as faithful as possible to the systems and performance typical for this class of light, pressurised cabin single-engine turboprops. May 13May 13 There is one other reason I thought of that just, in general, makes the Phenom 300E so impressive. It's the short field capabilities. 3200 ft runway for takeoff is impressive. It climbs like a homesick angel also lol. It's a touch slower than the C680 but only by 2 mach points. It's got lovely cockpit visibility - it's essentially a great aircraft for GA style airports as well as staying fast when ATC needs you to keep your speed up going to into major airports. It's like a swiss army knife! Huh...I was under the impression that the minimum landing distance was rather long due to lack of reversers and/or big flaps (at least according to V1 Simulations, who said that was one reason his IRL charter op didn't purchase it...?). But a quick search turned up that it's surprisingly good relative to direct competitors: Phenom 300E: Approximately 2,212 ft. Phenom 300: Around 2,159 ft. Cessna Citation CJ3+: About 2,040 ft. Cessna Citation CJ4: Nearly 2,700 ft. Pilatus PC-24: Potentially 2,525 ft. The CJ4 is really surprising to me - i figured the straight wing would help with that! Now I'm REALLY happy to see the Phenom coming to sim! 🙂

May 13May 13 The single only thing I don't like about the FSR500 is that nasty white glareshield! I want a black one! 😄 The white looks weird and plasticky. In 2020 I'm sure there was a texture mod on the TO, that provided a black glareshield, but I don't believe it works in 2024. Anyone know otherwise?
