About FSHud - Traffic

FSHud - Traffic is a built-in traffic source for FSHud - Air Traffic Control, providing live and scheduled traffic directly through FSHud.
When a selected Flight Simulator time is used, matching schedules and a corresponding live traffic snapshot are applied to help the traffic environment reflect the chosen time of day.

Traffic Features

Live traffic data refreshed every minute

Scheduled arrivals and departures by airport, synchronized with live traffic

Schedules and live traffic snapshots matching the selected Flight Simulator time

Works with installed traffic model packages

Limitations

Live traffic coverage: up to 80% of real-world commercial flights.

Live traffic scope: commercial flights only.

Injected simulator traffic may not match the exact real-world aircraft position, route, runway, departure, or arrival.
These operational details are calculated by the FSHud - Air Traffic Control engine during traffic injection.

A one-week no-commitment trial is a sensible way to do it.

For me the main test would be how it behaves in busy IFR arrival and departure banks with my own traffic models, because that is where these ATC tools usually separate themselves pretty quickly. If the trial lets people judge that with their normal setup, it should answer the real question better than any feature list.

I all I got from that, was that it was supposed to be released in a few days..... Then silence.

Now its out, and I see no reviews/first looks, and even the FShud Facebook page doesnt mention it at all.

"What the heck is going on here where's it at?"

It's in the beta branch. You have to log into the beta branch to get it, which is located on the FSHud website.

Unfortunately I cannot get it to inject any real amount of traffic even during heavy departure banks at major hubs. Probably still needs more work.

Test flight: EGLL - EIDW. Aer Lingus A320. At Heathrow it looked like the injector placed the correct liveries at their proper locations.
Traffic settings: 20 active, 50 parked. Instructions were flying back and forth and traffic was moving around in sync.
Currently en route. Lots of chatter, correct callsigns.

So far it seems to be working just fine.

**On approach to Dublin callsigns included more and more Shamrocks and Ryanair. A wind change necessitated a change of runway which was initiated and handled by FSHUD.
At the airport itself traffic looked as it should with a plethora of Aer Lingus airplanes and other traffic including a number of US aircraft.

I used AIG as the model provider.

First impressions? Very good indeed.

My system is very similar to yours, except I fly in Quest 3 VR. How did you find the performance impact compared to other AI traffic options you have used? Does it induce stutters or long frames on approach and while taxiing. How fluid is the movement of the AI traffic (I have BATC and find the movement quite jerky compared to MSFS default live traffic).

But FSHud already injects and controls AIG aircraft. I have had this set up for a long time and it works ok.

What does the new version do better/different than the old version?

It now injects real time traffic for a small subscription fee
