Your information is helping push me towards getting it. Thank you for your insights into the Mission Hub. I also watched a stream with the MilTech developers a few months ago where they laid out their development road map for the near future, and Mission Hub updates were a big part of it, as was a big update (their words) for the MH-60. Hopefully that means they will be adding some new features to it. They seemed excited when talking about it, fwiw. Yesterday at 02:17 AM1 day Taog just posted on their Discord that Microsoft has confirmed everything is on track tomorrow, 30th June between 1700 UTC and 1800 UTC for release. Its so well done, you can make missions for any aircraft, not just helicopters, and it takes about 5 mins to set up a brand new SAR mission anywhere you want. No more waiting and praying for the Career Mode to give me something fun, or dealing with a bugged out search area, or losing rep for taking just a little too long to find the guy (I swear you rescue some guys from -35C in the Australian Outback in the dead of winter and still get an A rating and lose rep, there's no pleasing some people). For what this cost, there's easily another 200 hours or more of stuff to do if not more.Seriously, I've been making Coast Guard rescue missions off Nova Scotia similar to this channel:https://youtu.be/C_GtMI_FWog?si=3G9S7UjkOj7l5rQRThe MH-60 is also really fun, first helo in the Sim with the AFCS and auto-hover modes, takes a bit of learning and set up but the hoist missions feel so satisfying now, being able to actually hover and control the distances properly, there's even direction call outs from the rear operator (although only when picking up cargo, not for the hoist). After watching the stream with the Dolphin, it appears to be the little daddy to the MH-60 big daddy AFCS, which is a welcome difference, and I think it will be a great fit for Career Mode. The MH-60 SAS is really automatic, and makes it almost too easy. One of the key differences seems to be the MH-60 has the more robust hover control, really letting you dial in where you want to be without touching the cyclic thanks to the knobs on the center console. There is however, no NAV control, no GPS AP on the MH-60, you can dial in VOR and LOC for references, but nothing to autopilot or landing assist with G/S or anything. The Dolphin is the opposite, with a full Autopilot FD with all the standard V/S, HDG, etc for easier navigation, but from what I read in the manual, the Hover assist modes are less adjustable, its more of an on/off thing (get to where you want to be with manual control, then press button to hold there).I'm looking forward to experimenting with the two!I went to MT’s discord and found an entire list of user made missions! Looks like some good ones, and as advertised, quite a few feature addons other than the ‘Hawk 🙂👍https://discord.gg/J2u7ddgsX

I'll start downloading and trying some out this weekend. A lot of them seem to be bush craft missions, sightseeing routes around cool places, SAR ops and even some Military ones if that's your thing. Once I make a few packs I might upload them there.14 hours ago, sniper31 said:I have been very interested in getting the Mission Hub for a while, but I too was hesitant because I was concerned about mission variety. Your information is helping push me towards getting it.While I'm not affiliated in any way with this site, I did find a Mission Hub AI Mission Generator that someone cooked up/vibe coded when I was googling for more mission packs:https://missiongen.azurewebsites.net/Due to the AI use, there seems to be a subscription model to use the auto-gen, but you can manually build missions for free using the web-based version of the mission hub editor. That should give you a fairly similar representation/demo of the actual thing before you purchase it. You won't be able to play the missions without the Mission Hub installed, but you can see how easy/complex it is to make a mission, the different types of assets you can add, mission triggers etc. YMMV MSI Aegis R | Intel i7-14700F | NVIDIA RTX 4060 | 1TB NVMe | 32GB RAM | Windows 11

I have decided I am going to go ahead and purchase soon. Your input helped me decide 😉And then of course, I am just reminded of the soon to be released Emergency Dispatcher Pro that is releasing soon, which looks very interesting indeed. It is only regional to the U.S. coastal areas where the U.S. Coast Guard operates (it has been a developer partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard actually), but it looks very deep feature wise. @Zangoose just posted a YouTube trailer for it here:EmergencyDispatcherPro for MSFS 2024 - Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024) - The AVSIM CommunityLooks very interesting and looks like you can use a variety of aircraft among other features. 7 hours ago7 hr Perhaps I'm doing something but this helicopter is totally unflyable for me. Trim doesn't work, autopilot lit but doesn't do anything. 7 hours ago7 hr I bought this. Sadly the TDS GTNxi integration is totally inop (aside from the units appearing which they do). The CDI needle cannot be turned to the DTK, the CDI doesn't deflect showing left or right of course. The range readout is wrong/inop and the CRS doesn't work either I didn't check PMS. The GNS530 integration is working somewhat fine. I tried to file a bug report that the Glidepath doesn't work during an RNAV approach with vertical minimums (such as LPV). But they are saying they modeled it based on the 1990s version and it isn't going to support that. But they also stuck a GNS530W in this bird.... the W means WAAS lol. Soooo perhaps they should revisit this idea. Plenty of N2's have LPV capable units.ILS's do work though just fine.@sd_flyer The AP took me a long time to get engaged. You'll definitely want to map out force trim and beep trim on your peripherals. Checkout 13.1 in the manual if you have issues getting coupled flight working. Basically make sure you're like totally stable and trimmed before engaging CPL - cause mine wouldn't engage like 8 times. Finally after trimming everything, I pressed it and also used ALT and HDG... the heli pitched up and down abruptly then finally settled and held ALT and HDG.The sounds are excellentThe flight model seems pretty nice - I mostly hand flew it, and finally got the AP working it seemed to do the basic modes just fine. Didn't try a coupled ILS yet. Coupled NAV on the GNS530 worked fine. The visuals are solid as well.I spent 54 USD on this - It's a hefty chunk of change for a helicopter with no WAAS integration and broken TDS GTNxi integration. I bought their 500C almost when it came out, and the TDS was also poorly integrated in that. It took them over 8 months to do it (mostly) properly. If you just want a semi fast helicopter to play around in, and don't care about RNAV approach capability or anything, it's a solid helicopter.I really hope they can get the TDS working. That's mostly why I bought it. Thankfully I used paypal though so I can potentially get money back - I'm not waiting 8 months this time on a 54 USD product. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
