What a joke. I don't know how yall enjoy this sim with so many visual bugs.

Because they're very minor and don't ruin my flights.

But they aren't minor. Maybe some people don't care about it but they should be fixed regardless. The brown AI generated farm field's loading in are absurd. They need to simply remove that feature

Yeah from the landing gears to texture resolution issues it's become more of a distraction when they're clearly visible, especially in VR. But then these issues have persisted for 6 years now in one form or another.

Just have to accept that Asobo aren't going to fix something they can't fix in the first place, no matter how hard they might try there's always something obvious that's broken and broken for a long time, sad but true.

Edit: of course that's no to say every single flight is a catastrophe from a visual standpoint, far from it, it's just relentlessly annoying when you do notice the blatant issues.

Yeah, sometimes aircraft updates for ones not made by asobo/working title don't appear until late in the Beta or not until the public release.

Maybe they can't fix it.

They can. They just don't want to. Because a pimply Xboxer and a 4090 snob should have the same image quality. Otherwise, pimply people won't buy the simulator.

I agree.

If that were true they'd remove the graphics options from the PC version completely.

I don't anymore. The sim has lost quality since SU3 without a doubt.

Some say it doesn't bother them. They are the perfect customers. I bet I could get defective products from my company out of the bin and sell them to them and they wouldn't complain. Money wise it would be like taking candy from a baby! 😄

On a more serious note. These people don't help matters as Asobo will do nothing about it with their attitude. I have never known another sim with so many of these graphical issues. There is currently much better out there, and that is where my time and money resides now. I am much happier. I just regret having invested so much into MSFS to then have the rug pulled. But hey-ho, once bitten twice shy.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

SSDD … still not addressing the missing landing gear (and other objects) due to overly aggressive culling. A simple graphics slider would do if they so concerned about XBOX/PS5 popping memory limits. Nothing burger update.

Oh but they can fix it, it’s a simple culling calc (explained in one of the earlier show and tell live streams). From development perspective, they could include as a slider in the Graphic settings to make everyone happy. However, they choose NOT to and I can only assume they don’t want PC users to have a better experience than console users which could be a long run strategy move based on current PC computing hardware/component costs (the AI gold rush and DCs). Meaning the eventual phase out of local PC computing to central streaming computing (more profit $$$).

It’s how a corporate entity moves a user market elsewhere to increase one’s profit margins … that would be the ONLY reason I could understand the neglect of fixing this relatively simple culling issue. That would make more sense than just wanting to punish PC users with more capable hardware … most things in life seem to be $$$ driven using various strategies to manipulate a market … hence SSDD.

What do you think we’ve been trying to do? When one goes to the long effort of reporting a visual issue multiple times with video, images, and other details only to be ignored yet again and again and again. At some point we just not going to continue helping as it seems pointless to do so.

Fare comment mate... what sim do you predominantly use? Im not sure if XPlane suffers form the same ailments as MSFS2024... I often wonder why we can send men/women into space and soon Mars, yet cant solve the undercarriage issue... weird!
