RELEASE NOTES Sim Update 6 Beta - 1.8.11.0

If you are playing on PC, outdated packages in your community folder may have an unexpected impact on the title’s performance and behavior.

If you suffer from stability issues or long loading times, move your community package(s) to another folder before relaunching the title.

Stability & Performance

General Bug Fixes

  • Enabled communication window during bush trips.

Aircraft

Boeing 737 MAX 8

Diamond DA62

Marine Traffic

  • Improved marine traffic boats orientation.

DevMode

  • Fixed and improved governor controls in the “Aircraft Debug Engines” window:

  • Fixed an issue that prevented governor target RPM values from being entered independently for each engine on multi-engine helicopters.

  • Added validation for the entered target RPM value (limited to the 0–200% range).

  • Replaced the non-interactive governor status checkbox with a color-coded bullet and a text label distinguishing the “OFF”, “INACTIVE”, and “ACTIVE” states.

  • Improved the tooltip displayed when hovering over the “INACTIVE” status.

  • Made minor layout and punctuation improvements.

this SU is pretty sparce on content...

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

I think that most of us would have preferred to see AIR TRAFFIC - fixed undercarriage disappearing on AI planes when more than 50 feet away.

It's usual to have sparse release note length during the Beta updates. The full SU6 release note, when the public version will be available, should be more... consistent.

  • Fixed softlock when crashing your aircraft after a belly landing.

Has anyone ever suffered from this? I've not seen one report of this issue on the forums, yet it gets top billing in the stability and performance section.

It's incredible that all of the reports of LOD issues, undercarriage disappearing, panning stutters get nothing?

They're is no method to their bug fixing, it appears to be decided by throwing a dart at a board blindfolded. Plenty of highly reported bugs still way down their list, but hey it's the Asobo way.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

Yeah, sometimes aircraft updates for ones not made by asobo/working title don't appear until late in the Beta or not until the public release.

Maybe they can't fix it.
