That is exactly correct. When we set the system up, we inadvertently set the auto renewal to "on" and that was not the intent. So we started to get cancellation notices and decided that we had to go in and cancel all the future renewals that were about to occur. If you get a auto renewal now, please let us know ASAP and don't allow the renewal to take place.

It is indeed a pleasure to announce AVSIM's 18th Birthday today. We have had our share of sad news this last week, but with the bad also comes the good. 18 years! This comes in two parts; my health and the future of AVSIM to the community and our team of members, forum owners, etc. First, my health… To state it directly; I am dying. I am dying from a carcinoma that started as a tumor in my stomach cavity that enwraps my stomach feeder vessels, kidneys, liver, the major blood vessels of the area and which are so embedded and wrapped around the maze of blood vessels and nerves that there is no cure except that of delay. The carcinoma has spread to most of my major organs. I have been given a pessimistic short 90 days of survival up to a lifetime number of 365 days. Second, and most importantly, the future of AVSIM… The staff and I with others in the community are looking at the alternatives that will keep AVSIM alive and prospering for years to come despite / in spite of my missing good looks and glowing positive daily participation. As it was said in my first response; it is a matter of our selection when we set up the forum.

No, that is a master setting controlled at the forum setup level, not by individual users.

It is not an "odd" issue. It is a matter of selection; we do not provide guest access to all of our forums. If there are some forums that you want access to, asking you to log on using your existing account is not too much to ask.

As a retired Northrop Grumman dude, I have a particular attraction to this plane... Thanks PMDG guys for bringing it out.

Simple... Don't create duplicates. How? Post your message. At the top of the forum screen you should see a green horizontal notification that your post is being posted. When that disappears and you DO NOT see your message posted at all, do a CTRL-F5 (refresh your browser). If it shows a lack of service response, do another ctrl-F5 and continue to do so. You see, once that green bar disappears, your message has been posted. Had you done a CTRL-F5, you would have seen your post made.

It would be really helpful when someone has a public report like this to make, to provide a screen shot with the initial post. That way, fellow users can confirm immediately whether they are seeing the same, instead of speculating over the cause and folks scratching their heads over what their systems may have aboard to be concerned about.
