Exactly the sort of post that makes devs not want to give out timescales. If it was waiting for SU15 then it would be a lot easier just to say that, then people would shut up moaning about a release date until after the SU. G

That's the same as any other application as well, so not just a BATC thing. At the moment I've got my FO on the radios, which also helps as he is much better at understanding the Spanish accent. G

Haven't had chance for a full flight yet, but some very early thoughts (coming from a P2ATC user). 1/ No voice training involved, but it understands me perfectly. 2/ Full volume is LOUD (P2ATC definitely isn't). 3/ Basic voices seem good *BUT* my ability to understand heavy accents isn't (Listening to RW ATC this would seem to be accurate !!) 4/ Clearance, Taxi and Takeoff were absolutely fine - the only point I noted was that compared to p2atc I wasn't given an initial altitude ****HOWEVER**** the SID I flew had an initial clearance attached to it - so that *MAY* be more realistic. Further altitude clearance came quite quickly. Got a week at work now so will see if I get an early finish for a chance to try later in the week.... G

@Ray Proudfoot @Patco Lch The taxi guidance was the first one that sprang to mind for me tbh. Have long used LNM to draw circles around airports or even help with creating accurate Point/Bearing/Distance waypoints though, that actually has a great set of tools for that..... G

Aaah is it user/ATC defined locations? Those don't seem to be intersections.... G

That's definitely a shame, although if it can't move to "freeware" surely the license check could be disabled so those that have already purchased it can continue to make use of it. Personally I have long switched to Navigraph Charts though, even though EFB has some features that charts doesn't .. .. G

Well theoretical it's the same thing, just has to be able to cope when YOU do something it isn't expecting... for IFR at least. G

Lol, I never got CyberPunk, but as soon as I saw the comment it made me think of No Man's Sky. Still searching for the perfect ATC, so at the price they look to be selling it I will probably get it as soon as it's out, certainly didn't regret NMS .. .. G

No it happens on Steam as well, I've had it happen twice to me. Might be rarer than those who purchased from the store? G

Last night I flew Bucharest to Amman, Simbrief's suggested routing was far South of the conflict zones and went a long way extra to avoid them.... G

Just to be 100% clear - I was calling it (and would have classed it as) a subscription until they made the basic option free. Quite agree though, based on their own figures if you are a heavy user *AND* use Premium voices it could actually cost you more, so for a heavy with premium user at least SI is capped - so that may make more sense if everything else is equal..... G

That could be a concern, interestingly SI did have the "current" average response time on their website (think it was 12 seconds last I saw it). That now seems to have been removed, although in all fairness the streams I saw for it had much shorter delays than that. @pete_auau in terms of cost currently BATC sounds like Premium will be $10 for 15 flights (at the more expensive end of their scale), or nothing for "Basic" voices. If "Basic" is as good (or bad) as SAPI voices that p2atc uses, then I will be happy with that. G

But it's not $30 a month, in fact you don't necessarily have to top up monthly. G

There is absolutely nothing I have seen that has come out of BATC that says $30 a month. Can you provide a reference for that, or are you just making figures up? G

Got excited for a moment when they said about the cabins being similar that they might have done a freighter variant. G

Speed limitation due to possibility of bird strikes?? Sure I have flown other aircraft in previous sims that have similar, although think that was above 10k ft (which makes more sense).. G

Absolutely tanked my frame rates though, ended up flying without it, wish I could get the same performance with AutoOrtho + SimHeaven that I get in MSFS. G

I just get assigned a runway from p2atc, won't bother with AI traffic until there is an ATC system that can sensibly control them & myself.... G
