FSX under DX10 The gap is even smaller if you run FSX under DX10 using Steve's DX10 fixer. -
FSX vs P3D vs XPX short and simple comparison

Very interesting To my eyes FSX looks the smoothest and as the more natural colouration of the three. -
If you are not going to use FS9 again then you only need to place Makerwys into your P3D folder and go about building your DB as normal. pointing to your P3D install. If you are still going to use FS9 as well as P3D then all you need to do is make a copy of your RC4 folder and rename it RC4-P3D. make a shortcut to this RC4.exe on your desktop Put a copy of the makeRwys.exe into your P3D root folder Run RC4 from your new shortcut and do the Rebuild scenery DB as you normally would to create the data files from your P3D installation. RC4 does not need reinstalling and works just the same in P3D as it always did in FS9 and FSX. A fresh install on a new machine will need registering and you should send it to Register@jdtllc.com in (exactly) the format -12345678 ! firstname ! lastname

What are we losing ? To replace my amp modelling software looks to be around $200. On my FSX partition my Goflight stuff works erratically under W10, that's another $1000 of stuff that I lose out on using. Different needs I suppose.

You are aware that a lot of those UT2 models are actually from MyTraffic ?

Maybe he is too busy finishing up the Milviz King Air 350i and sees no pressing need for anything Win10 offers at this point.

I bought this package out of curiosity mostly, absolute rubbish, aircraft.cfg's riddled with errors even after all this time, I spent a couple of evenings editing all the airline names but gave up in the end. worse still there are no Logo lights at night, that was the final straw for me. Went back to MyTraffic 6 which just works.

Because his Development software may not work correctly obviously, and he relies on it for some of his livelihood, would that be a good enough reason for someone to pass up on this. Same reason it is not going on one of my home machines yet, no stable version yet for my amp modelling plugins and I have no wish to buy anything different and can't justify the cost as it works perfectly well at the moment. I can see why a gamer may be happy to try out this stuff, nothing to lose... But some folks just need stuff that works properly like Fr Bill.

Everyone else really successful with FSX in Win 10?
Glynn replied to fppilot's topic in WIN10 OS Forum
No, but it has changed your Graphics drivers and probably your monitor color profile this would account for the color change -
Does anyone know how to delete the /System32/GWX folder. I have got rid of the windows updates related to this and hidden them on windows update but cannot get rid of this pesky folder. I want it gone.

Don't have a mortgage Jim, both of my homes are paid for a long time ago. Cheers.

I have had my OEM W7-64 on four different PC builds, each time it registered automatically when I entered the key, without any need to call MS.
-
No Diego, if you cancel updates for long enough (year?) your install is marked invalid. There is no way round this unfortunately, you will have to accept whatever MS sees fit to put on your system or lose your licence. Defend it all you want but with Win10 you no longer have a Personal PC.

What Plane/ Addon Do You Think Is Best Ever Made For Home Flight Simulaton ?
Glynn replied to jason74's topic in Hangar Chat
Fsuipc, without a doubt -
Most reports seem to start with........... Everythings working fine And end with ..............Except for . And yet no one has said what is so wrong with Win7 all of a sudden that is making everyone rush to Win10, it's not as if it's even nicer to look at or runs our Sims any better.

Why not ? it's light years better than under DX9, whitecaps that are directional according to the wind direction, cockpit shadows, better performance all round, why would you not want that. -

Diego, DX9 seems to be broken in W10 you will need Steve's DX10 fixer and run in DX10 mode (far better anyway) to get the preview window back -
After you have assigned the axis as a spoiler on the left hand side of the axis assignment tab and ticked "send direct to fsuipc" you then need to enter the calibration tab and find the page dealing with spoilers and flaps and calibrate the slider there, Fsuipc will handle the detents correctly once you have done that.

Have a look at Realairs Scout package, three models for $16. The Decathlon in particular is a favourite of mine, a fully aerobatic tail dragger without flaps is just great fun. especially landing

So by that reckoning, If you steal something but hold your hands up to the theft it's Ok Don't try that logic out in the real world, it won't go well and I expect it will go equally badly around here. -
