  1. Indeed. However, it returns, despite clearing out the driver store, too. Lots of research into it on the web. It's utterly insidious and should be considered malware, frankly.
  2. Correct. And it's an absolute pain in the word not allowed to get rid of, too.
  3. That explains why I appeared some distance behind the rear seat in my Cessna when I firkled what that setting!
  4. Okay, so the options are indeed under controller. There's an option for head roll (which is new) but there's no option for moving your head forward/back or left/right, at least not that I can see. Neither does it work in game.
  5. ...and that's about the only place I didn't look! Will give it a go tomorrow - thank you.
  6. I'm running SU8 beta via Steam but can't see these options anywhere. Would you point me in the right direction, please?
  7. Sure can. They adapt to the aspect ratio which virtually always means you have black bars down the side of the screen. It's never bothered me (I run a super ultrawide at 32:9) but it drives some people nuts (in games, in particular).
  8. Just need add an 'l' (as in lima) onto the end of that link for it to work, in case anyone's puzzled. Link
  9. Brand new system (i9 12900k, 3090, 32 gb), received last Friday. XMP is on, no overclocking anywhere. MSFS crashes the majority of the time while the flight is loading. Using the latest Nvidia drivers. (It doesn't matter to me personally (it'll get sorted), I've plenty of other gaming to be getting on with but figured I'd include my observations.)
  10. Come, come. If we can't take a break from snarkiness during the festive season, when can we, eh? 😁 It's £19 in the UK (including VAT - perhaps you don't have to pay VAT where you live?).
  11. Quick bump on this. I have to say, my socks have (almost literally) been knocked off by this project since buying in about four months ago. Lots of updates and new airports, too. And they're not simply being phoned-in, either. Well worth the money, even if there were no further updates or airports.
  12. Oooof! That really is pricey (just over £19). Edinburgh was really good, though, so I'll pick it up in a sale at some point.
  13. Someone didn't read the the thread 😉 He just had satellite imagery turned off. All good now. Nice shots, though!
  14. That'll be an assumed majority, then. Okay. Yes, I'd like to see it resolved. But there are tens of thousands of people playing this game, all with different motivations and desires, and many of those are not hardcore simmers. It doesn't make their wishes any less valid. And they may even be in the majority.
  15. Yes, and that means you're not the target audience on this occasion. There are others to whom this will be a tangible benefit and they'll be happy with the trade off. I give up... might as well go and eat chocolate or vanilla ice cream.
  16. It's a choice; an option. That's all it is. I don't understand the angst.
  17. I disagree. It's another option for people who perhaps have less powerful PCs to gain a little bit of additional performance. It's not all about MSFS (which I acknowledge you didn't say).
  18. This particular driver feature works independently of DLSS.
  19. I read somewhere last night that several manuals are included.
  20. Well, unless I'm misunderstanding the question, it doesn't need to be made compatible because the entire world in MSFS 2020 already has photographic scenery as standard. It looks great!
  21. I will be! Always find the Horizon games to be very enjoyable. What else am I playing? Quite a bit of Deathloop and some New World.
  22. Lighting is approximately 1973.3x better in ultrawidescreen. I cannot begin to tell you how happy that makes me feel (lights were previously stretched big blobs, a known issue with scaling!) 😁
