  1. This tool is shaping up to be the release of the year... I'm so stoked
  2. It's a bit of a dig at FSLabs and probably very much intended that they made it SO easy to use their announcements... 😄 Basically stopped short of simply having to copy and paste them. I bet they are not pleased.
  3. I hope they preview some more stuff soon, like AI interaction, flight guidance, etc. Don't care too much the price honestly, I finally want good ATC.
  4. Can confirm from the various JustPlanes videos I have. They're a few years old, though.
  5. Two things I'm surprised were not fixed: -old ADIRS panel on the overhead -FCU SPD, HDG not showing dashed (with no dot next to it) when no data is inserted in the MCDU but FD on, VS always showing dashed even when FDs are off. Other than that, I like it *very* much.
  6. Unfortunately it's just a computer voice from a text to speech program. Not realistic: There are almost no automatic announcements on the Lufthansa A320 fleet, except for the message that the inflight internet is now available. I would recommend using the recordings from FSL airline pack (if you have access to it by having purchased their A320). I have made some high quality recordings myself with my Tascam DR-05X, which I could convert to the .ogg format, if anyone is interested.
  7. Surely not a coincidence they also went with the .ogg file type 😅
  8. Yes, exactly, less 'jagged' so to speak. I shall try that.
  9. Is there any trick to achieve smooth-looking displays? I am using 4K resolution, TAA, and ~60 zoom level in FSRealistic. This what it looks like, not very satisfactory: When I zoom in, it's perfectly alright. Other than that, I am very impressed.
  10. That looks juicy… We urgently need a Simbrief layout for SAS and Jetstar.
  11. I find myself constantly adjusting the brightness of the displays on both the Fenix A320 and the FBW A320. PMDG 737, not so much. So maybe an Airbus thing? (Doubt it, though)
  12. 'Non-standard' is not the same as 'forbidden' or 'impossible'
  13. Can confirm. Many airlines keep both packs on until just before departure, then turn both packs off for take-off. Pack 2 comes back on upon thrust reduction, pack 1 when selecting flaps zero. They should not be turned on again simultaneously. It should be noted that a pack off departure is non-standard according to Airbus philosophy.
  14. Had decided to take a day off from work on Friday already some time ago, how prescient that decision turned out to be. SAS all the way for me.
  15. Indeed, it's high time to put the spotlight on the core features of this software. I'd like to see a full flight between two busy airports with lots of AI aircraft. What they have shown so far looks promising enough, but were usually separate bits of the whole thing.
  16. It doesn't have to be perfect. For truly mountainous airports (like Innsbruck or Aspen), you can always realistically fly the published procedures; I can't imagine vectors (to final) are a thing there, for obvious reasons. Also, consider where we are a right now in terms of ATC in MSFS: It isn't even capable of doing the most basic vectoring. Which is a step back from FS9 (or perhaps even FS8?). The bar has always been crazy low and has been lowered further. So BATC doesn't have to be revolutionary good (it may well be, though) to bring about major improvements to the experience.
  17. I am actually more interested in the flight guidance capabilities than the voices. For example, will BATC be able to vector me proficiently? Maybe add a 'goof leg' when there is too much other traffic? Squeeze me in between other aircraft, using speed restrictions? And so forth. If it can do that well, then so much has been achieved. And what kind of voice you're ultimately hearing would become a side discussion.
  18. At this point, the one thing that keeps me from fully enjoying the sim is the lack of good ATC. Everything else is there, aircraft, scenery, tools,… In other words: I am ready to pay up.
  19. I am sure they hard at work behind the scenes. We waited endlessly for the A320 sharklets but when it was finally released, it was completely worth the wait. When they come up with something for MSFS (be it an A320 CEO/NEO or A330), it will be impressive, and likely raise the bar. This is simply what their history suggests.
  20. I think that is the reason why it's taking FSL so long to come up with something for MSFS. But if they prioritize the A320 NEO (or A321 NEO 🥰) over the CEO variants I believe they're all set. I can't see those on the horizon from Fenix yet. Not to speak of an A330 that is rumored to be in development by FSL.
  21. It is surprising that nothing has improved, even in the Age of AI as they call it, when Microsoft themselves have vowed to bring artificial intelligence to their entire product stack. At this point, the bar is ridiculously low.
  22. The NG3 still has bugs that the old NGX from 2011 had... sure they did quite a few improvements, added some features, but overall they reused the code every time through and charged full price for it. He announces so much stuff (GFO, Rainmaker, secret project, P3D updates, LNAV improvement, Navdata encoding, did I forget anything?) that never materialize or with years delay. When you query him on that, as long time customer even, he gets all emotional and basically calls you a liar, even when you show his own forum posts as proof.
  23. He has a funny way of saying „no, it‘s not coming“…
