Froogle Challenges Captain Randazzo #IceBucketChallenge
GregB145 replied to makdrive's topic in PMDG General Forum
Just make sure he does not wear a white cotton T shirt -
Is the Virgin Australia the old or new livery? I think the old one is far nicer, but we get what we get. Great selection there, it's going to be difficult to limit the number of repaints that make their way onto my SSD!

09JUN14 - PMDG 777 SP1 and 300ER updates
GregB145 replied to rsrandazzo's topic in PMDG General Forum
No need to read the manual Kyle, if you wait here long enough then all the daft questions get asked sooner or later, as well as some very pertinent ones on occasion. Failing that I will ask my wife, because apparently, she is never wrong -
Rob, Can you fly for the VA without using Vatsim etc?

01APR14 - PMDG 777-200LR/F Feature Preview - WX RADAR
GregB145 replied to rsrandazzo's topic in PMDG General Forum
Well, with great serendipity I purchased AS Next 2 days ago but had not got around to installing it on my networked machine. That was the job for this evening, its on and running nicely and is fantastic. The ball is in your court now PMDG, no pressure! -
Easy mistake to make by Morvious. So before you have a go at him, look at what happened - A question from a low post member that had been asked many, many times before and has a history of causing internecine strife on the forums between those that think 2D is vital and those that do not... Followed by an indignant, contentious reply from that same member calling the majority of the forum members thick. I thnk the need for "grip" lies somewhere else.

Whilst there is the chain of thought on here that new posters should perform a search before posting a question to both avoid repeating the question ad infinitum (with the same answer), the chain of thought that a polite response is called for is also equally valid and welcome in my humble opinion. However, with your strong statement that, after 2 years on the forum, in your weighty opinion 75% of the population here is a bit stupid (and I would have thought that if you had spent 2 years on here you might have seen one of the multiple threads on here regarding 2d panels, weather radar, release dates etc) and then following up with a rant that because the AVSIM forum guidelines do not require a search to see if something has been asked before. It confirms the old adage that rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men. You had my sympathy about those asking you to get back in your box and perform a search, right up until you called 3/4 of the people on here stupid.......... How is it in the 75th percentile then matey?

It's a cracking Bluray Luke. Really well shot, fantastically edited and a brilliant overview showcasing the capabilities of the 777F. The performance and power of the aircraft is evident in the shortness of the takeoff roll from Leipzig to Bergamo with a light load of cargo and fuel. According to their website, there is a MD-11F in the works as well

02AUG13 - This should confirm the conspiracy theories...

I'm looking forward in the time between now and the release to the other snippets of information from Mr R and the team as to what features they have managed to shoe horn in there that we have not seen before. :england-flag: Oh and ORBX and PFPX which all together will make a pretty impressive triple act. However, as typical I'm in the middle of emigrating to Australia, my PC is packed away and I will not see it again until December. Bugger! -
Paine to KLAX as a shakeout with the 200LR. Then KLAX to OMDB. Might as well go big early!
-
I like it as well, the old livery is a hard act to follow. Was a PMDG 777 Beta model used for the video though???

Thanks Luke, but that was a while ago and things change

Rob, Thanks for the update I'm looking forward to the day I get to load it up and really dig into the systems and of course fly some of the great T7 routes available. However I have a small question for you in that, you have mentioned the status of the 777LR and -300ER, but where in the cycle does the 777F sit? Is it going to be an addition to the LR (being fairly similar) or an expansion released after the LR or the -300ER? Thanks Greg
-
I liked it in the MD-11 as well and it would be good to see it in the T7. In conjunction with GSX, it would fit in nicely.

Enter the GPS position again! I think its to do with entering it before the IRS's have run through their self tests.
-
Run as administrator, then when it loads the 737 you will probably have a black screen (I did on mine), use ALT+ Enter to go to windowed mode and minimise the windo, you should then be able to see the activation window. Hope that helps,

I'm sitting about 1 mile north of the Equator in Kenya at 6,500ft above sea level and have been living in a tent for the past 2 months. Its bloody hot and dusty during the day until late afternoon. Then it rains and rains and rains. Nights are freezing and I'm using a heavyweight sleeping bag and goretex bivi bag to keep warm. Having just spent 2 years in Borneo in high temps and very high humidity before coming out here , I'm being really pathetic and feeling the cold! :( 5 weeks left, then back to Germany for some normality!

I must admit that I'm looking forward to the 777 as well. I've spent a lot of time in the last couple of years shuttling to and from the far East on various carriers and think that they are fantastic aircraft. I love the PMDG MD-11F and its by far the most used aircraft in my FSX fleet for my VA. Roll on the 777F! Until then, the 737 will I'm sure be sublime and the portent of things to come. :(

GregB145 replied to ErrorInside's topic in FS2CREW: LEVEL-D 767 (FSX Voice Control)
I've had 3 flights since and no further issues. The only thing I could think of was that I rushed through the control checks. My only difficulty now is getting the cabin crew to close doors and arm slides, it just does not work for me! Must be the English Accent :( -

I've just had the FO have a brain fart on a flight as well. First flight today was fine, restarted the PC as normal and got to the flight controls check and he went into meltdown. Will try again later and see If I can repeat it. Greg -
Patrick, you are a star! Thank you for putting together the Flow. Brian, top job as always on the FS2Crew, really makes the aircraft come to life.

GregB145 replied to rsrandazzo's topic in PMDG General Forum
Far too kind Mr Randazzo, as a thank you for your generous offer please take last week off! B) :( Tabs, I just checked the main site on the offchance whilst dropping into my office from a site visit, the pic of the LCF said now available and a couple of clicks later and there it was. It will be very nice indeed though as a change from your sublime MD-11. I'm looking forward to the NGX and more importantly the 777. Keep up the amazing work! :( REgardsGreg -

:( Well, that was unexpected, I just checked the site saw it was available and bought it! I suppose living in Brunei, being 8 hours ahead of UTC sometimes has an advantage. Do I get a discount on the 737 then? :(
