  1. Yep, that's the exact same glitch that I experience. I wonder what's happening?
  2. I have a fast CPu at ~5mgz. But you're right the visibility is terrible and there are faster planes.
  3. I may have asked this before, but I am getting annoying flashing in the cockpit view of the stock and moded DA-62. Maybe every 30 seconds or so. I tried deleting the airplane and reloading it and I tried other liveries and I deleted all mods from my community folder. I updated the Nvidia driver and none of those solutions worked. I have a newish rig with a 3080 Nvidia card. I can't figure it out why only this plane has this problem. Has anyone come across this problem or know a fix? Thanks
  4. So which is the better Balzano airport and what are the differences? What do you recommend?
  5. Arches is a beautiful addon. I didn't check what it looked like before, but its very realistic now.
  6. I thought I read somewhere that the Mooney exterior lights have an effect on fps. You could try turning them off and see if that has any effect.
  7. So in the tray is an Nvida icon. Right click and choose GeForce experience. In the settings there is an HUD option. Chose FPS and location. This is close to the procedure but I'm not sure of the details.
  8. The cockpit view has ten (10) Custom views slots according to the MSFS docs: At any time, you can save the current camera position to a Custom view slot, using “Save custom camera [0, 1, 2…]” (by default, left ctrl + left alt + [1, 2, 3…]) You can then reload this custom view using “Load custom camera [0, 1, 2…]” (by default, left alt + [1, 2, 3…])
  9. I thought that you could save a camera position with the combo ctrl-alt-x, (some number on the above the letters), and recall the position with alt-x. Evidently some (all?) planes come with camera definitions. Can you over-ride the views in the camera.cfg file? What is the point of the ctrl-alt-x if it is not effective because of the camera definitions. It's very difficult to edit the camera.cfg file and get it just so. I also mapped the number keypad to the number I choose in the ctrl-alt-x combo. I tried deleting the camer.cfg file and I got a view without a cockpit. Cool, but I restored the file to the original. This is in the DA40. Can someone explain how it works and how it's supposed to work? I would like to make my own views.
  10. I use the Nvidia apps frame rate counter...shows the same as the Asobo one, but only shows FPS and not the other information. I agree, I miss the old keystoke too.
  11. I would like to add that the "feeling" of flying is important in any simulator. Hard to define but easier to comprehend. So, if I take off in a 172 and the climb rate maybe slightly off, but I raise the flaps turn crosswind at a certain altitude, and into the pattern, i try to maintain some speed control, reduce rpm's downwind lower flaps and turn base and then final maintaining close to 70 knots, and flair to land...this feels like a simulator and and MSFS does this well as the plane is bouncing slightly and reasonably responsive and the runway approach looks right.. As a side note, who knows what the actual performance of a ~20 year old plane is anyway. I followed the checklist and started and stopped the plane as specified. I used the visual landmarks and the speed "felt" right and it looks like what you would see out a small aircraft with amazing replication of cities, roads and landmarks . . And the lousy ATC gives me crazy instructions to the parking area. You can't really feel ground effect with a joystick or the impact of the wheels on the ground. I personally think it's a little too easy to land GA planes in MSFS. However there is a stall speed and reasonable reaction and if you work hard enough you can get some planes to spin. Some systems are off and leaning the engine is still not right. Is the mark of a simulator at the extremes of the flight envelope or in day to day flying. Later I take off in the DA62 with a flight plan , set cdi to gps, enable auto pilot, nav mode, and adjust vertical speed to reach an altitude and settle into flight towards a destination following waypoints and monitoring accurate instruments, enjoying the scenery and the weather effects along the way. So again, maybe the climb rate is slightly off and it takes too long to turn to the next leg...all true but the process is still in the ballpark. The ATC is off, but at least there's some semblance of communication. This is near impossible in XP. Can you program an approach? yes. Can you track an ILS. Almost always. Will the autopilot take you right to the threshold...that's a maybe. Is the functionality of the G1000 close to the real thing, I would say yes. Finally using the A320 mod, you can get close to experiencing most systems and procedures. I don't think this can train you to be a airline pilot, and it's shame that some systems aren't working. Certainly MSFS is better at GA aircraft. Hopefully this will get fixed.
  12. There's a free one somewhere... https://flightsim.to/file/3101/lemg-luces-v1-aeropuerto-de-malaga-costa-del-sol I heard because it used to be military it was left out.
  13. Is this video with the stock scenery of Toronto, or with the enhancements available at Flightsim.to?
  14. I have not downloaded the new US upgrade. Does the scenery work without this download? Thanks,
  15. I just ordered a 34 inch LG ultra gear curved 1440 monitor. It met all my specifications. Wide screen, fast response time, ips, good reviews, bright. Only negative is that IPS monitors have lower contrast. Seemed like the right size to me. Sort of the same size as 2 24 inch monitors but higher res. Getting it Tuesday. Slightly expensive also.
  16. Just a few weeks ago folks were complaining about excessive oscillations of the AP. So they tried to reduce that and errored the other way and dampened the response. Can’t win I guess.
  17. Very cool...hope it comes out soon. I use the plane in Xplane and it's very well done.
  18. Thanks, however, the runway lights appear to be too bright. Does the runway really stand out that much in the approach?
  19. So, a great revision. Is this version compatible with the other Bonanza 35 improvement project? Can you have both in the community folder at the same time or do they interfere with each other? How about the G1000 mod?
  20. Yikes sounds complex. I'm not sure it's worth the effort, but if get up the energy I'll try it. Thanks!
  21. Is there a way to add liveries that were independently developed into the turbo mod? I see many G36 liveries around and I'd like to get them to work with this Turbo mod.
  22. Maybe it's related to the thunderstorms that many people are experiencing when they use live weather.
  23. I also get the flickering. I don't know what is causing it. I tried all kinds of different graphic settings but no joy.
