  1. If the aircraft use the default Auto Pilot and systems provided by Microsoft then those aircraft will be supported too, simply select a default profile like the default 737 module and it will work with all aircraft using those default MS systems. The naming of that module is a little bit misleading, the profile "Microsoft Original B738(FSX)" would be better named as "Default Systems try this first if your Aircraft isn't listed" but that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue does it, plus it won't fit in the dialogue box, lol.
  2. Most VRinsight gear works brilliantly with the PMDG 737NGX, and the hardware works even better and with more features via LINDA to the NGX and many other aircraft too. LINDA is a truly indispensable tool for some VRinsight hardware owners and for conventional HID joystick type devices too. The Airbus panel from VRinsight isn't supported via LINDA though so readers should keep that in mind, although FSUIPC does support it natively, like most other VRi hardware. A list of compatible aircraft can be found at the link below, its a long link but it is safe I can assure you. http://vrinsight.com/public_html/download.php?dnfile=Compatibility+add-on+%28JUNE%2C+2013%29.pdf&file=/home/hosting_users/vrinsight/www/webapp/../public_html/upload_dir/board/69539907151b51d373320a.pdf A word of warning though, no hardware of this type from any manufacturer will ever be totally plug and play and forget, some basic knowledge of editing of files in notepad may be needed at times, but it is really basic stuff and their are lots of people out there with VRi hardware that can help if you need it. The VRinsight forum can be found at the link below. I run the community forum for VRinisght on voluntary basis, I am not an employee of VRi's, I am just a customer with contacts within the company, so I can help get customers in contact with the right people whenever they need further assistance and they aren't able to get in contact with VRi directly themselves. http://vrinsight.com/phpBB3_en/index.php VRi hardware probably supports more aircraft than all the other vendors put together, that is also worth keeping in mind too.
  3. First place you should look for compatibility is the VRinsight.com website surely? Here is a link to the compatible addons document, yes its a huge link but it is safe I can assure you. http://vrinsight.com/public_html/download.php?dnfile=Compatibility+add-on+%28JUNE%2C+2013%29.pdf&file=/home/hosting_users/vrinsight/www/webapp/../public_html/upload_dir/board/69539907151b51d373320a.pdf
  4. See the third post in this thread, that is the answer.
  5. Have you updated to 1.006? In the original release version 1.005 some people suffered with sound issues especially those using Windows 8, although there were a few with Windows 7 who had sound problems too. 1.006 has a fix in it for those issues.
  6. If I remember correctly I think you have to make sure the option "Advanced Animations" is enabled in FSX.
  7. Majestic has confirmed that Nav radio range issues are on the list for looking into and fixing in a future update. http://majesticsoftware.com/forums/discussion/584/dme-picking-up-distance-signal-only-from-50nm#Item_6
  8. The only thing limited in the USB2 enclosure was the seq read speed which was maxing out at 34 MB/s, that is normal and good for USB2 actually. Moving to USB3 has improved your max seq read to 60MB/s, that was the only improvement you were going to see anyway. Your ageing 256Gb drive just cannot go any faster. Stick it in your PC and test it again and I bet you get similar numbers to the USB3 test.
  9. Ranges on the NAV radios are messed up, high altitude VOR's for example should work at more than 150 miles away in FSX, but with the MJC Q400 they don't work till you get to about 40 to 50 miles away. I don't know whether MJC are trying to do some extra radio wave propagation simulation with NAV radios or if its just a bug, but people have mentioned this to them via their forums a few times but they never seem to acknowledge anything in regard to this issue for some reason, nothing that I have read anyway.
  10. MyTraffic X 5.4 Pro schedules are not a year old at all, they are updated every time the product is updated and they are current at the time of release. Updates come usually every spring and autumn. Minor updates are free, major updates are charged but existing customers only pay about €12 for the major update. Each cycle is usually 18 months start to finish, so this time we had 5.4 as the major release for €12 then 6 months later 5.4a which was free, then 5.4b 6 months after that, again free. Normally the next update should be a major release but its going to be another free update instead i.e. 5.4c and its in beta testing now. You certainly get more for your money with MTX than you do with any other traffic product. By the way MyTraffic updates more than 2000 default airports with parking and taxiways to make them work with AI traffic, you don't get anywhere near that with any other traffic program. MyTraffic X 5.4 Pro makes the world come alive not just the major hubs. You can find out just about anything you want to know about the traffic programs available for FSX just by using the search function here at this forum. Your very question is asked almost on a weekly basis, so it wouldn't take you long to find relevant discussion just by browsing through the various pages here even without using the search function.
  11. If the trim is in the white band shown then you are within the safe envelope indicated in the weights and balance page. As far as I understand it, it's next to impossible to get Bombardier AOM's unless you work with the aircraft for a living.
  12. It's certainly worth a try, it should help you rule out once and for all whether ProATC is really to blame.
  13. Wow that is really really slow, you should be able to bring it down at 260 knots down to 12000 then slow to 240 and keep it there till 6 mile final. The dash 8 has no problem slowing down at all even in a steep descent. Actually you will probably want to slow to 230 below 8000, but you can really keep this thing going until short final.
  14. You seem to has self diagnosed the problem, I think it's ProATC you need to have a discussion with, as playing back audio shouldn't be using anywhere near 100% CPU. Either there is an issue with that software or perhaps the type of sound device you are using. If it's not a dedicated sound card with its own processor that you use then you are likely using a motherboard integrated sound device and they take CPU cycles/time from the main processor (thus robbing FSX and the Q400 of cycles) rather than one on a dedicated sound card. Majestic on the other hand are running another simulator outside of FSX for their FDE, a much more complex computational task than creating sounds, and so it can and will be expected to use all the spare CPU cycles available at times, depending on the CPU it is running on and the load it is under. I've been using integrated sound devices for a few years now and I fully intend to replace mine with a dedicated sound device as games are getting more and more demanding as far as sound goes.
  15. It happens in the real aircraft too if you accidentally move the CL lever below the 850 detent, the only way to clear it is to shut down that engine and restart it. This has been covered a couple of times here and at the Maajestic forum if you want further confirmation.
  16. It's not the Majestic Q400 it's RAAS Pro, it can't see the correct baro setting because of the way the MJC systems work. You can disable the warning in the RAAS settings app.
  17. I've been with Gmail since 2004 and they used to be really bad for spam until about 2 years ago, but even then their filtering systems made it easy to automatically delete junk mail as soon as it hit your inbox. But in the last couple of years even the filters aren't needed anymore and I rarely see any spam at all now, perhaps 2 or 3 a week at most. As for usual BS scaremongering saying that Google scans all your mail, it does but a human never gets to read it and its never stored or read anywhere but in your inbox and the ad's are only shown to you, so what does it matter. It's no different that every site you have ever visited on the internet tracking what you do there when you browse a site. You should be more worried about what your government is doing with your online data not Google.
  18. I have no idea, its not something I have ever tried. I did say it was technically possible and not that I had done this already.
  19. If there are no agn files you aren't going to see any Autogen.
  20. How would that be possible, you cannot have default ground textures and photoscenery textures covering the same area and have them both visible at the same time, it doesn't work like that and agn being present would not make any difference one way or the other. Land class polys just define which ground textures to display within that defined poly, it's exactly the same idea as for autogen but for ground textures instead. Think of photo scenery as top dog, everything else ground texture and autogen wise is completely eradicated, if there are photo scenery textures present for that area of the world. Where the photo scenery coverage ends default textures will show along with its associated agn.
  21. What do you mean by ground polys?
  22. Photo scenery excludes any autogen not in an associated texture folder, there is no way to turn this off other than to include agn files in the texture folder. The only thing it wont hide is special unique objects like the Millennium Dome and landmark objects like that, but they aren't Autogen anyway.
  23. To be clear the autogen will only show on top of any scenery that is in a scenery folder one level up from the texture folder containing the agn files and nowhere else.
  24. You would have default autogen on top of the PNW stuff as that is where you copied all the agn files to in your above example. The problem is though it could overwrite any agn files that ORBX may have included with their scenery too, the file names may be unique to the texture tile and you can only have one per tile. Putting all the files in one folder is what we used to call an All in ONE install, the texture folder and hence the agn files contained in it need to go in same folder. C:\example\scenery\texture So all the photoscenery is in the above scenery folder and all the agn files go in the texture folder, create the texture folder if one doesn't already exist. Make sure you have a full backup before you start messing about as it can go horribly wrong if you aren't careful. But this is really a discussion for another relevant forum area, not here really. If you need anymore advice there are forums dedicated to scenery design with lots of information already discussed in great detail. The documentation I linked to above for ESP is totally relevant to FSX and even P3D to a greater extent.
  25. Technically yes you can but you would need to figure out which of the thousands of files to copy to the correct folder, again it's possible but very time consuming. I suppose you could just copy them all over but you would waste lots of space doing this as there are likely a lot of texture folders you would need to copy them into.
