  1. Hi guys, I don't know if it was some sort of intermittent issue to do with the load the servers have been under the last few days but upon logging into all of your accounts at FSS the download links are definitely present and active. Please go in and have another look to confirm.
  2. We've been instructed by Steve to remove the product from sale.
  3. I'd be happy to assist you rsperge. When you get the "could not be verified" message when exactly does it happen? Can you please very specific as to when the error occurs and what the exact message is?
  4. Do you have and security/anti-virus software running that you may be able to temporarily disable during the install? Maybe that's interfering.
  5. The file was updated recently so perhaps you were downloading at the time and the file was corrupt. Maybe try downloading again and see how you go. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
  6. Hi Rob, The behavior of installing after generating the .fsc file is definitely not intended and has now been corrected so it will now only install once you've imported the .fsk file. As for the error "failed to install properly. Uninstall and install a second time." message at the end of the installer, this has been a common thing for many different installers since Windows Vista. You can ignore this message and rest assured that if you made it to the finish screen and the application runs that it installed correctly. What the installer does isn't rocket science so there very little chance of something fundamentally going wrong. Not sure why you're getting the "key filed entered is invalid" message. Can you tell me the name of the .fsk file that the FSS website asked you to download, and that you are subsequently selecting when importing this file?
  7. Hi yidahoo, Without knowing the particulars of your specific order I can't say for sure but this looks like your transaction was caught by our anti-fraud system which picks up key indicators of common fraudulent situations and locks the order pending further manual verification by our staff. I suspect in your case the indicator here may have been a country mismatch between one of the physical addresses on your order and the IP address you were using at the time the order was placed. Generally we process locked orders within 24 hours, either releasing them right away or requesting further information to verify some details, and this usually does happen even over weekends or public holidays. However, this last long weekend we did not have staff available to process these verifications and this accounts for the delay in releasing your order. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to offer you a discount on your next order. Please provide me with your order number so that I can look you up in our system and send you a coupon code.
  8. The product has been withdrawn at Steve's request, until further notice. A new fix for the uninstaller has been made and is with Steve for testing. With the exception of one terrible incident the issue has for the most part been quite a non-event and we here at FSS are hopeful that the product will make a return, but the decision is ultimately with the developer.
  9. You can install to the default location give by the installer, or any other folder of its own, so D:\DX10Fixer is fine. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2

  11. This is definitely not Steve's fault in any way, it was the coding of the FSS uninstaller that was the issue. We have certainly offered our most sincere apology to the Roger for this gross inconvenience.
  12. This will be completely fine. You should not have any need to worry in this instance. However, if you ever have a need to re-install, best to get the latest version on the server.
  13. Just to confirm to you all, this issue is only a problem if you have installed to somewhere other than the default location AND to a folder that already contains another application. If you accepted the default location as given by the installer you have no need to worry about the uninstaller removing anything other than the actual DX10 Scenery Fixer program itself. If you have been caught out by this issue and had the uninstaller remove something that it shouldn't have please contact FSS via store [at] flightsimstore [dot] com.

  15. Hi Clarindo,REX for FS2004 can be purchased on disk using our DVD-ROM delivery option. At the top of the product page at FSS you'll find a drop down list where this option can be selected before adding to your shopping cart.Technically it is possible to install the software onto two computers but be careful you're not violating the end user license agreement which I think may indicate that it can only be installed on one computer at a time.As far as I know there are no issues with installing the software to an external hard drive. If you have any further questions feel free to post them to the REX support forums at: http://realenvironmentxtreme.com/forum/index.php
  16. Hi Clarindo,To my knowledge there is no licensing restriction on the number of computers you can install REX onto and technically there is only one limitation that could cause an issue for you down the track if you needed to install it on multiple machines, multiple times. The FSS wrapper does have a validation limit of 10 times before you will need to contact us at FSS to have the log cleared. So in answer to your question, you should have little or no issue getting it going on all 3 of your computers.

Instant Download is just that. As soon as your payment is processed you can download the software. Download with DVD-ROM is a combination allowing you to download the software if you choose, while waiting for us to send it to you on a disk also. The added cost includes the disk and delivery worldwide.

The server issues with the website now appear to be resolved and store servers are holding up well now. The downloads themselves are hosted on content delivery networks off from the main store servers so there should be very few issues downloading once your order has been placed.Apologies for the congestion earlier on but we should have smooth sailing from here on out.
  20. Hi Mike,I am very pleased to read this morning that you've managed to get all files downloaded from our servers. I was certain that with a little assistance we would be able to resolve the issue for you. On a side note, the URL's provided to you are actually the same ones that the FSS2Go download tool uses and the same ones that are provided as direct links on your order details page in your account. It's a little baffling why they worked for you when provided directly rather than from your account screen but we'll certainly look into it. Delivery infrastructure is an important part of our business and we do keep a close eye on how it is performing from day to day.All in all I think we have achieved the desired result and I hope you enjoy REX as much as the thousands of other customers have been.
  21. Nope, I believe I've found it and am replying to you now.
  22. Mike,While I am very sorry to hear that you're having problems downloading REX from our servers I can assure you that what we are delivering the files on is definitely not free, or cheap. The Mediafire front end that is being used is backed by an extremely robust and highly efficient content delivery network. It is also backed by a fail-over cloud hosting service with unlimited bandwidth and computing cycles. The infrastructure is now more than capable of delivering REX to several hundred simultaneous customers. Now, on to your issue. Most downloading problems are localised issues that generally rectify themselves given a 24-48 hour timeframe. Please create a contact ticket with us at the link below and we will help you sort through the issue.https://www.flightsimstore.com/contact_us.php

Hi Dave,Adrian from The FlightSim Store here. I am sorry to hear that your download is taking so long and I can understand that you might feel that the time it's taking is unacceptable. But we're here to help. Just remember you are trying to download over 4GB of data over an internet connection. This in itself can often be quite a task for many users regardless of how reliable or high speed their internet connections are. I am not sure if you've read my support threads in the REX forums or not regarding connection issues with the FSS2Go download tool. If not please shoot over to the follow forum and give the suggestions there a try to see if we can improve that download rate, even momentarily.http://realenvironmentxtreme.com/forum/index.php?board=19.0If this doesn't help you please submit a contact ticket with The FlightSim Store at the following URL and we will get back to you with a few more suggestions. Be sure to mention that you've gone through those posts at the REX forums so we don't inadvertently repeat ourselves to you.https://www.flightsimstore.com/contact_us.phpDave, we are very willing and able to help you work through your issues and I look forward to hearing that you've got this awesome product successfully installed and running.
  24. Hi Merv,I too am sorry that you have been having trouble with The FlightSim Store. Can I please get you to send me a PM or email to [email protected] with your order number and run down of the problem you're experiencing and I will help you as best I can.Kind Regards,Adrian LehmannThe FlightSim Storehttp://www.flightsimstore.com
  25. >As for treatment-I am curious.>>The offending original thread was removed when it was pointed>out that it violated the rules-and you seem to be in agreement>with enforcing clearly stated rules.>>The op in this thread asked a good question which I and others>mods replied to with politeness.>>The next post I see is from JayKae. I will not requote his>comments as they are above to read, but second rate treatment>seems to manifest here.>>Now personally-when someone does violate a clearly stated rule>a I'm sorry usually goes a lot further than the rant that was>contained in this post. You're right I do agree with upholding the rules. My point, which you seem to be missing here is in how these rules are enforced. The treatment I refer is best explained by the following:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=437379&page=2"Jay, do that again and you will be banned from these forums. If you have an issue with that, then send me an email and I will spell it out for you."Fair enough, if Jay was to continue to post what moderators would consider to be "blatant advertising" then in the first sentence he was clearly informed of the consequences. What I believe is not required is the second sentence, that is plain arrogant. Furthermore the thread was locked, meaning there would be no chance for him should he wish to apologise for the situation. He's left without defense or opportunity for reconciliation. Then above..."There was a thread made by someone with a history of breaking the rule"Not only has he not had the opportunity to defend himself but now another one of the administrators are having a go. Anyone care to elaborate on that "history" of breaking the rules? Jay seems to have pointed out that the "history" relates to a single incident that was indeed "handled behind the scenes". Not publicly here in your forums.I don't know... it's all well and good to enforce rules, but it seems to me that certain members of the moderation staff need to concentrate more on these rules than on discrediting the people they are enforcing them on.Anyhow, I'm done. My first few posts at AVSIM have become my last.
