  1. If anyone is stuck for charts:-LFPG :- http://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/html/frameset_aip_uk.htmKBOS:- http://flightaware.com/resources/airport/KBOS/proceduresMakes it easier perhapsJohn Ellison
  2. Useful linkage Dan - http://www.vimeo.com/videos/search:Golden%20State%20Flying%20Club%20/cc99be5bif you like funny classroom.John Ellison
  3. Same routing for Concorde or a mixture of EVX to the SM route? Have you the route for COncorde?John Ellison
  4. I wonder if the load will be similar - like 100 passengers for Concorde and 400 for the 747 lol. Tis a good idea though.John Ellison
  5. As a temporary workaround keep the right side selected to LCF and use the left side to switch between the 747-400 and 747-8i panels. Fix is about but doesn't solve it for me.John Ellison
  6. Never had an issue with the tail opener, worked fine. On uninstalling/reinstalling the only way I can use the 747F is by selecting the LCF in the config manager otherwise the main gear is down and is on continual crash on 'fly now'.So issue still persists.left side is ok between 747-400 and 747-8i but the right side HAS to be set to LCF else it wont work for the 747F or 747F-8i.John Ellison
  7. Yep, that works for me as well Barrie.... Still one helluva bug though when all is said and done. John Ellison
  8. Good to know Barrie as I was tempted to do just that.John Ellison
  9. I have exactly the same problem after installing the LCF - After runniing the config prog as admin, the 747F or the 747-8F show main gear down in preview and on 'Fly Now' gets a gear config error message in the eicas. If loaded at a strip, just flicks in and out of the ground (no crash detection).Works ok when selecting a passenger 747 or the LCF version, just NOT the freighter ones.John Ellison
  10. Check that the runway length isn't set too short in the pmdg options for the MD11 - I think tncm is about 7000ft. That would cause the not in database message.John Ellison
  11. The Navdata is available at www.navigraph.com for a small fee - currently airac 1007.This would contain all the latest sidstars - I would also get, in addition, the latest one from www.planepath.com then go to the AVSIM library and get Dan Downs 1007 file and overwrite the files in the sidstar folder in fsx/pmdg. Dan's files have links to about 66 airports in the US without ending in vectors. Please make sure all files have the same airac code though - all 1007, don't mix and match as it'll end in tears lol.John Ellison
  12. With MY memory Dan, maybe lololJohn Ellison
  13. For example - If you want to put in the route page airway A110 ending with waypoint UACK then in the present fms's you are unable to do so as it just comes up 'error' as the fms expects a 5 letter waypoint. (No biggie, just an observation)John Ellison
  14. I expect the Aerosoft one will be the original 146 with the steam gauges rather than the RJ serues. Good to know someone will be doing this little whisper jet though.John Ellison
  15. You mean it'll accept those very few 4 letter waypoints that none of the fms's does at present?John Ellison
  16. Pro is probably your better option unless you really need all the extra fancy protection and encryption stuff in ultimate.Just remember DX9 and the UIautomation.dll you need. Oh and the scenery addition workaround, if I could remember which fs version lol.You certainly wont regret it anyway.John Ellison
  17. Flew for miles after lift off from KLAX in a straightish line.... trying to work out what was wrong with the 747 as I couldn't turn. wouldn't follow the lnav, etc... Took me about 50Nm before I realised the autopilot wasn't engaged after turning all the knobs lol.Struggled to get down to land the J41 and just about managed a landing with excursion onto the grass.... wrong airport of course lol.Probably not noticing the time when flying is the biggest distraction though.John Ellison
  18. An interesting note is that NASA used a MD-11 for the PCA (propulsion controlled aircraft) program. That was for controlling the plane just using engine thrust with no control inputs to see if it could be successfully flown using just the engines - and it was a major success.I think this came about after the Soiux city incident and was a feasabilty study. Dropped in the end because of expense over the need for such a system.John Ellison
  19. Not Douglas Adams is it ???John Ellison
  20. Working now but S L O W DanSlower than your 1005 sidstar on avsim anyway :( John Ellison
  21. A 'how to' is available at http://www.planepath.com/html/pmdg_utilities.html - Terry's site or from a link in the Terminal Proceedurs forum next door.Charts would help for the airport and a sectional one if available.John Ellison
  22. Well, certainly didn't do as bad a job as this pilot:- Or as good as this superb pilot.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTGa-TPuLRQJohn Ellison
  23. Here:- pdf anywayhttps://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/aip...5_AD-2.LFPG.pdfJohn Ellison
  24. Cheers Dan much appreciated :( John Ellison
  25. Small world Gavin, I also had a 'hedge-hop' flight in a Gazelle courtesy of AAC (bliddy scary) and I worked on the Merlins they had in the wind tunnel at Boscome Down - at least I believe it was for there lol.John Ellison
