  1. Yup Gavin, only down the road from me as such :( Love the Optica, worst decision of my life was to turn down a ride in one - or maybe not, as windy lol.John Ellison
  2. Be sure to make a backup of your original installer Edward and don't foget to mark the name on the CD if that's what you put it on. Only thing you'll need to do is revalidate it so keep your order details safe too.John Ellison
  3. A vehicle mechanic in real life - anyhting from bottle jacks! bikes to tanks and everything in between for the MOD UK :( Always been keen on flight simming though - even had one on a TRS-80. Btw Bill and Dan - one of the next projects for Aerosoft is the OV-10 Bronco (FSX)... funny how some things just crop up.John Ellison
  4. FS Global is a mesh product and not scenery as such but does help scenery. It also corrects most of the 'idiotic' holes and spikes in default fsx.2008 and 2010 are the same for fs9 but 2010 has a lot more coverage in fsx.Hope of some help - I also have a corrected SKCL for global 2010 as that one is all to pot in the standard and global 2010 in fsx.John Ellison
  5. All I can say is THANK YOU *******.I was able to get the MegaHeathrow up and running again with ConcordeX on the i7 and the results are that I find it absolutely stable.ConcordeX and the Airbus310 work wonderfully there now... thanks again
  6. Try installing Dan Downs 1003 sidstar collection - that should help as he puts a lot of work into each cycle.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=278857John Ellison
  7. Sometimes you don't need hardly any runway at all lolhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfeMLQNe57EJohn Ellison
  8. Good entry in Google Dan - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICAO_airport_codeAnd also a good read for US - http://www.skygod.com/asstd/abc.htmlNow know why it's called KORD.John Ellison
  9. Damn, I though bituminous runways were a problem - now I got to worry about tyres sinking. Yet alone buildings in mid air. and runways in the sky and big sink holes ROFL.John Ellison
  10. Good idea I hope lol - you're a glutton for punishment lolAs for spam, I even block email from myself now as I get spam using my email addy lol.John Ellison (no $10 here lol)
  11. The list is long Adrian :( A lot of airports have changed ils frequencies. added or removed runways. etc.Among them KATL, KIAD, EDDF, KORD, KJFK etc. Also a lot of the smaller airports with one runway which have 2 ils frequencies only appear to have 1 in FS as backcourse is enables in most of them. Some are just off course when they shouldn't be either.. GOOY?John Ellison

  13. 1. Just make it close as you can.2. You could turn on tooltips and hover over the trim and see what it says.3. Switch to virtual cockpit and zoom in on the trim guage.John Ellison
  14. Glad you enjoy it - if that's the itvv dvd then you're in for a real treat, it's superb and probably the best one they did.For a real scary one try the plane with one/two cargo containers at the front and low fuel lol - talk about a rocket ship.John Ellison
  15. As a workaround try switching to windowed mode before using the menus - seems to help in a lot of cases.Think win7 broke somethingJohn Ellison
  16. It doesn't help that in FSX GOOY ils isn't in line with the runway (as it should be) but angled off to the left on approach, TJSJ is in line though.GOOY shows inline on the chart but not in FSX. An editor like ADE would correct that issue though. I agree, in most cases it is the registry that can mess up the approach.John Ellison
  17. Flying the hold isn't an issue with me... the entry is lol I get confused as to what entry to use even after studying them. Can't see the wood for the trees I think is the expression.John Ellison
  18. Cuddly1956

Read the manuals !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WHY? We're blokes after all lol so the addage 'If all else fails, read the manuals' fits quite nicely'... ask any woman lolJohn Ellison
  19. Yep, me too asd as here - same folder so uses the same intelliscene.cfg. Just a minor niggle but one more thing to swap before flying using AES.John Ellison
  20. Cuddly1956

    747-8i AES

One small niggle - I wish the 800 was in it's own folder groups as I have to change the aes config before flying this wee beastie now. Of course I can swap it each time but it is a niggle.Looks fab though and improved smoothness as well.John Ellison
  21. Pressing 'V' works for me - saves bmp to the fsx files folder.John Ellison
  22. Kenneth just copy the Martinair o/c (old colours) MPF texture folder over to the MD11 folder. I renamed it MP to make it easier for me. Then alter the aircraft.cfg file in the MD11 folder - add:[fltsim.XX]title=PMDG MD-11 Martinair Passengersim=MD-11model=PWbpanel=sound=PWtexture=MPkb_checklists=atc_id_color=0xffffffffatc_id=PH-MCTatc_airline=Martinairatc_flight_number=242ui_manufacturer=McDonnell Douglasui_type=MD-11 PWui_variation=Martinair O/Cui_typerole=MD-11 PWui_createdby=PMDGdescription=McDonnell Douglas MD-11\nPMDG\nwww.precisionmanuals.com \nProduced under license from Boeing Management Company.\nBoeing MD-11, McDonnell Douglas MD-11, MD-11, McDonnell Douglas & Boeing are among the trademarks owned by Boeing.PMDG Developer and Customer Forum available at our website. \nSounds Developed by PMDG \nThank you for supporting PMDG!\nvisual_damage=0atc_heavy=1atc_parking_types=GATE, RAMPYou'll then have passenger panels and passenger in the load manager. Once you get into load manager select the panel then it'll become panel=WideScreen or panel=John Ellison
  23. I said in a post ages ago that I think this one should make an appearance.http://farm1.static.flickr.com/47/129765308_68330d8e69_b.jpgWould make a good flagshipJohn Ellison
  24. All you need do is copy the martinair o/c texture to the md11 folder and add the flightsim entry from the md11f aircraft.cfg and alter the contents to read md11 instead of md11f and alter the panel default. Hey presto a passenger martinair md11.John Ellison
