  1. Hi I was just reading this and wondering. Are you running spad.next on your main pc or your networked pc. If you run Spad.next on your networked pc all of your flight controls can then be attached to your networked pc. This means that you dont need vJoy etc. Spad.next will use fsuipc, simmconect or Lvars on you networked pc. As far as sound goes Multiplicity is great on networked machines but I stopped using the audio section from that a couple of years ago but still use everything else multiplicity offers. There is a donation ware software called Voicemeeter Banna that is brilliant for audio on you computer and sim. I use 2 computers and 4 soundcards to run P3d and voicemeeter banana controls them all. It can send the main audio to you main speakers and send ATC audio to your networked machine. I use programes on the networked machine where the main audio is sent back to the main pcs speakers but Pilot2ATC for example is on the networked pc. Ken
  2. Here you go Yair http://edgerunner.com/multiplicity Since I dont use Xplane I cannot help you there ,hopefully someone else can. Ken
  3. Bill Spad.next would run perfectly well with your HOTAS it has to be told what control equipment to use so if you dont want it to effect the HOTAS you simply don't program it in. There is a bit of a learning curve in Spad.next but the forum is good and there are a lot of online profiles people have put on. Ken
  4. Hi You dont actually use vpilot. The link I gave originally came from vpilot showing how to set up the button through FSuipc. Page 2 and 3 show you the settings you need. A better way to run your PTT switch is as I said in the last post. If you are using spad.next for your controls then all your controls can be on the networked machine and you can select the PTT switch through the normal way in P2A. Just a thought. Ken
  5. Hi If you use Spad.next you can have all of your controls on the networked machine. Doing this allows the PTT switch to be used normally with Pilot2ATC without any extra work. Spad.next works on FSX P3d and x-plane so good luck. Ken
  6. Richard You should not be worried about the voice commands. They may of take a while to get use to but once you have them under your belt they are purely awesome to use, they add a lot to the experience. Ken
  7. Hi I should of added this earlier. Multiplicity is by edgerunner, the address is below http://edgerunner.com/multiplicity Ken
  8. Hi I have my head phones connected to the main computer running p3d. I use a program called Multiplicity that enables the use of one mose and keyboard over networked computers. In fact when Multiplicity is connected you cannot tell most of the time that you are on networked machines. You simply move your mouse over to the screen and your mouse is automatically connected. This program also has an audio to it that allows the sound from my second machine to be played through my main computer. By getting my main computer to send this input to my headphones I can use the headphones normally for P3d on the main computer while also using my heaphones with networked programs like Pilot2ATC and FSFlyingSchool which are both networked at the same time. So you only use 1 set of headphones, 1 mouse and 1 keyboard all plugged into the main computer. This gives P3d through main speakers and ATC through headphones. I almost forgot, my microphone is connected to the networked machine for the verbal inputs. I hope this can help someone. Ken

Hi Pero I have been looking at the scripts above and it looks like the apply global-hybrid is not working as yet. Sorry to have jumped the gun so to speak. Ken

Hi Pero I didnt realise you were going through Orbx forums. If you look at this http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/102745-switching-active-region-silently-in-batch-mode/?hl=%2Bhybrid+%2Bcommand an answer from Ben McClintock you will find the command lines you are looking for Here are the major arguments available for FTX Central v2: /nogui This will make FTX Central v2 terminate as soon as it has finished changing the group. /sim:<sim_name> This chooses the simulator that the change will be applied to. At the moment, the available sim_name's are: fsx, p3dv1 and p3dv2. If you do not enter a name, then a dialog will appear asking you to choose a simulator (unless you only have 1 sim installed). This command could also be useful if want to launch FTX Central v2 into a certain simulator mode without having the dialog box appear. (i.e. if you want a "FTXC (FSX)" or "FTXC (P3D)" shortcut on your desktop. /apply:<group_name> This will apply a group as soon as FTX Central v2 has started. The current group_name options are: ftx_off (Default - don't use this if you have FTX Global), northamerica (North America), australia (Oceania), global_base (FTX Global), global_hybrid (FTX Global with Hybrid Mode) and europe (Europe). Examples Start FTXC in P3Dv2 mode: "%localappdata%\Orbx\FTXCentral\FTXCentral.exe" /sim:p3dv2 Start FTXC in FSX mode, apply the North American group, then close: "%localappdata%\Orbx\FTXCentral\FTXCentral.exe" /sim:fsx /apply:northamerica /nogui Start FTXC in P3Dv2 mode, apply FTX Global with hybrid, then close: "%localappdata%\Orbx\FTXCentral\FTXCentral.exe" /sim:p3dv2 /apply:global_hybrid /nogui Ken

Hi Pero Your new v2.7.0 is a definite winner. Thanks for looking at the bug in Jumpastart in the southern hemisphere. I would just like to note that at the moment I cannot find anywhere in the options in the Orbx tab to enable "hybrid" mode. This is a fairly important option when using any Orbx scenery and I was wondering if you could implement it at a later date. At he moment to either turn hybrid on or off you have to go into Orbxs FTX central and do it manually which seems to kill the whloe idea of being able to adjust your regions within SimStarter. Thanks for your time Ken
  12. Pero Im glad it helped. Keep up with the program ,you are doing a wonderful job. Ken
  13. Hello again. I have been looking at this some more and noted a few points. SimStarter is loading the latitude for the southern hemisphere as <Property Name="Latitude" Value="N-33° 24' 47.43"" /> Prepar shows the location as Latitude S33 24 47.3 Google earth shows it as Latitude 33°24'47.43"S I have since tried the quick start in the Northern hemisphere where Latitude N is a positive with no problems. Is it simply because Simstater is doing the Latitude as N-33° 24' 47.43&quot and not as S33° 24' 47.43&quot Just a thought Ken
  14. Hi Pero I thought that the statement above was really giving you no information so I have looked further into it. I have P3d 2.5 simstarter 2.6.3 make runways 4.6.9.2 I started P3d and saved the start location A2A 182 at YTBH Bathurst parking 2. Lat 33 24 47.43 South Long 149 39 15.8 East Jumpstart overide to same location and SimStarter.log shows ================================== NEW <PREPAR3D> OVERRIDE STARTPOS at 9/09/2015 9:32:56 AM 9/09/2015 9:33:39 AM OVERRIDE STARTPOS DONE SELECTED < Park 2 -- GA Ramp Small,YBTH,Park,2,-33.414546,149.653291,10.0,107.5,2 > 9/09/2015 9:33:39 AM OVERRIDE STARTPOS DONE VARSET LAT=N-33° 24' 52.37" - LON=E149° 39' 11.85" - HDG=107.5 ================================== END <PREPAR3D> OVERRIDE STARTPOS at 9/09/2015 9:33:39 AM So you can see that so far all is Ok. However when you start up P3d you are started in the ocean. 15. Hi Your program is very good but I find that when I use "Override starting position" in Prepar3d V2.5 the plane will allways start in the ocean. If I use "Show position in GoogleEarth" with a new start position then the plane will be shown at the original saved files position and not the override starting position. Ken
  16. Hi Allways use a powered hub for your saitek gear. ALso forget the saitek drivers and has been suggested use SPAD. I also use Linda for the saitek controls "www.fs-linda.com". Ken
  17. Hi I have been running 3 40 inch Samsung's for s few years now and the results are quite good as long as your card can keep up Ken
  18. Hi You should try the freeware airports from OZx, there is over 380 of them in Aus and they are designed to sit with the Orbx scenery. Ken
  19. Hi I use P3d on my main machine with pilot2atc on my network machine. Using the PTT button on your yoke connected to the main machine is possible. After hunting over the net I found this solution that works beautifully with pilot2ATC. I have to thank VPilot for the information here as it is wrttien for their software but it also works for our situation here. If you use the pdf file on the link below you will be able to use your PTT button as you hope to using Peter Dowson's registered versions of FSCUIP and FSCUIP Wide. http://vpilot.metacraft.com/Assets/Files/vPilotNetworkSetup.pdf Sorry for the double post I hope this helps. 20. Hi Tony If you are using an android tablet or pad then you can run anything on them that you do on your pc. I use "Air Display" on an Asus memo. This allows you to use your android as an extended screen on your pc via wifi. I have found it works extremelly well giving me just the right size screen for an instument panel. Ken
  21. hiya Have to go for the skymaster .... but dont forget to add on the Oovee - Cessna 337 Skymaster Sound Pack. The two together are great. Ken
  22. Make sure all Saitek panels are run off a powered hub otherwise they will freeze Ken

Hi Maarten Thankyou for your quick response. You were perfectly correct, on checking MakeRwys I found that I was running 4.612 and not 4.614. Interestingly though is that on Peter Dowsons download page he is still showing 4.612 as the latest release but has changed the actual download to 4.614. Your program is fine with 4.614 so thanks again Ken

Hi Congrats on a great piece of software, I have been using it with P3D since 1.8. I have found however that v6.6 has an extremelly long load time. There are 24500 airports in my system and v6.6 is taking 38 minutes to load them. I have deleted v6.6 and gone back to v4.8 and Simlauncher loads in seconds. If you try to stop Simlauncher with windows 7 task manager the program just restarts itself so you have to go through the whole loading sequence. I will try V5.7 next as I am sure by memory this version was Ok for me. I am using Windows7 64 bit with Kaspersky however the virus scanner is not effecting V6.6 as I have tried disabling it and the loads are still slow. Just thought you would like to know any problems , I will just use an earlier version for now. Just a note v7.0 is also slow at loading airports. Ken
  25. windows will power down the usbs after about 10 minutes of being idle. If you use the suggestion by EGNT pilot above it will be fine until you plug something different into the usb slot or you restart the computer because then you have to reset the usbs again. If you go to control panel\hardware and sound\power options ,then choose high performance power option at the bottom. Once you have done this click edit plan settings\change advanced power settings. In the advanced power options open the USB settings /USB selective suspend setting and turn it to disable. Now press Apply and all is fine with the world. Ken ooops just noticed this had allready been answered ny Jude. Oh well this shows you how to get to the settings ;-)
