  1. Here's an old post I made when someone was comparing PMDG's NG soundset to TSS's sound. Hope it helps: "For me I sticking with PMDG's default NGX soundset. I love TSS, but the differences you all are hearing between the two soundsets may just come down to how each developer recorded the sounds. For those of you who are only basing their assumptions of how the aircraft is supposed to sound from the cabin only, you may want to keep in mind there are 3 different engine variants for the NG series.Taken from PMDG's description of NGX - " Sounds - An uncompromisingly realistic soundset. Every aspect of the 737NG’s CFM56-7B engines is represented here, exactly pitch matched to real life recordings made at every 10% over the engine’s power range. Over 500 individual sounds exist in the product, all recorded with professional audio equipment in the real cockpit. Every switch and lever is unique and there is a separate “passenger view” sound set that is called up in the wing views and features sounds such as the flap motors and hydraulic pumps."TSS description -All enginesounds are recorded few feet away from the engines of CimberSterling & Primera 737`sBesides the real HD recordings of the engines, this sound also includes: Custom Soundcones Custom Wind Custom Gear Custom flaps Custom Autopilot Custom Stall Custom Overspeed Custom wheel rumble and ambient cockpit sound, just to bring the experience up, from within the cockpit. As a new feature, you will be able to have an external APU sound running, also with implemented soundcones "
  2. Wow! It's been a year already?!
  3. I got that same feeling when I worked for A'A and our first 777 came into BOS...simply awe struck. Very nice preview! Thanks as always for the update Robert!
  4. I think the last place I left her (NGX) was at CYVR after flying from MMPR using CanJet.
  5. Thanks for the update Robert! I might actually get the manuals this time.
  6. It may be scenery related too. Sometimes these payware sceneries have a tendency to make it appear that you are moving, but it's actually an FSX or scenery related glitch. Happens to me on one of my payware sceneries, but can't remember which one.
  7. I'll take any 777 variant as long as PMDG is making it!
  8. Looking forward to it Ryan! Thanks for yours and the PMDG team's efforts.

  10. I just remember the firt time seeing the price for this bird; I almost fell off my chair because I knew how feature rich it would be and could not believe the bargain we were all getting. It's more than worth the price we paid for it and will still be more than worth it if you were to purchase every single expansion for the NGX.
  11. Thank you to the entire PMDG staff and hope you enjoy the holidays and finally have some time to spend with your families.
  12. It doesn't seem as anyone here is bashing PMDG, but truly think about what PMDG was going through 2 months ago today. Can anyone say hotfix/es? Let's not forget the incessant clamoring for them to release the SDK for the NGX, SP1, 600/700 series and the list goes on. For those people who do not live in the US, this is considered a holiday week and I don't expect much of a response. I'm sure each one of the PMDG members are looking very much forward to spend some quality time with their families, especially Robert since his Father had taken ill during the release. Enjoy this magnificent product we have right now and I'm sure McPhat will receive their long awaited response soon.
  13. Keep in mind inflight N1 idle will be in the low 30's unlike on the ground idle which is around 21% N1.
  14. Hmmm...I wonder if Ryan got his wish for the team to create a CRJ. That could be the secret, but I hope not. I'm wishing that Level-D and PMDG merge and create the long awaited 757.
  15. Thanks Robert and the rest of the PMDG team! I'm too tired to purchase her now, but will be up bright and early to take her for a whirl.
  16. I guess our punishment will be to continue flying the best most detailed add-on there is for FSX. Oh, it hurts so bad! Thanks for the update Robert.
  17. YPPH at gate, then flying onto YBBN. Virgin Australia B738
  18. Always been a big fan of Ray Smith's AFCADs. Often wondered if he frequents these boards. One of the unsung heroes of FSX freeware.
