  1. Start with this program to identify which processes are running. Will even show hidden processes. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
  2. The fact that you took your computer the shop concerns me. If you are not able to re-install windows on your own, it shows you're not willing to put in the time to try and track down the issue yourself. First of all, if you took your computer to a shop and they lowered your OC and you are receiving BSOD's, I would ask for my money back. May I suggest, you wipe your harddrive clean and start from scratch. This time, you should do it on your own. In no way am I trying to be condescending, but it sounds like there are many underlying issues with your computer other than FSX itself. If you do decide to start from scratch, you should follow this guide to the letter. http://www.simforums.com/forums/the-fsx-computer-system-the-bible-by-nickn_topic46211.html
  3. You should take this to the Windows 7 Avsim forum. You'll probably find the answer to your problem there.
  4. Needless to say the limitations of FSX's resources as well.
  5. There are a few topics posted about this already. I would suggest running this program that Ryan suggests and give feedback to PMDG so they can further troubleshoot if indeed there is a problem.
  6. Problem discussed in this thread. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/419599-777-gsx-pushback-error-bug/ Take a read as I'm sure you'll find the fix there.

I have to say I've always let FSX install itself to a default directory. Never had any reason to do so since my system is always well maintained and balanced, even with it's OC. Any BSODs, CTDs or lockups I get, I can pretty much narrow it down within a few minutes. But it's about time for me to do my ritual complete wipe of my main drive and reinstall windows as well as FSX. So I might give this a try next and see if I can yield any differing results.
  8. Waiting for this one too. Maybe I'll figure out my CTD issues by the time she's ready.
  9. Very nicely done indeed! Great find, thanks.
  10. Hopefully a Mod will pin this topic and update the title to read "777 Livery Availability/Requests"; similar to the pinned topic for the NGX.
  11. Just want to say thanks to the PMDG team as they have done it once again! Just awestruck by this aircraft.
  12. OMG! You can't be serious Kyle?! Who in their right mind would even think to do that?
  13. To Ryan: How fitting Phoenix experienced a haboob yesterday! A storm...is coming. 'Cause you are PMDG! (Just a vague movie reference there  ) Good stuff. Been waiting patiently in the background for this bird.
  14. Wide Beta sounds very promising! I remember that term very well during pre-NGX release. Very good news. Thanks for the update Robert!
  15. Jeez, if I had a $1000 for a new PC, I would just build my own. Save your money, build your own rig. You can probably salvage parts from your current setup and integrate into a do-it yourself rig. I just recently built a media PC for my living room, with just random computer parts I had laying around the house. The only thing I had to spring for was a new case ($30 Micro center) and a wireless keyboard/mouse ($29).
  16. Are you changing liveries during your quick turns?
  17. Meh, believe it or not, the isolation valve can be added to the MEL (minimum equipment list). Happens quite often. In fact you may be surprised to find out what exactly can and cannot be added to the MEL. As someone pointed out, there are redundancies built into these aircraft. In real life though, the OP would have to return to the gate briefly for a maintenance check. Just a brief 15 minute inconvenience to his passengers.
  18. I can't specifically say I'll retire anything, but the LDS 767 will be utilized even less now. And that's saying alot since I've already reduced it's use since the NGX was introduced. I still love that plane, but man...the NGX just spoiled it for everything else.
  19. In the manual titled "NGX Introduction" page 104, Ryan went to great lengths to describe how to achieve the best VC view. Check it out.
  20. I'll have to give this a try Alex. ENB always caused CTDs for me. You've given me a few suggestions in the past that have panned out, so definitely looking forward to give this a whirl.
