  1. @Dave_YVR that screenshot is pretty cool. I didn't realize the other cargo carriers' flightplans were in UTL. I was able to install the UPS and FedEx carriers a few months ago and now you've piqued my interest again to see what else is in UTL that I did not realize.
  2. I'm a control freak, especially when I'm spending my hard earned cash on a rig. I would rather OC manually, test it and if something fails to start or I get a CTD, I know what parameters were changed and what to fix. That's just me and you're right, I should not have generalized.
  3. Haha great timing on this post @Rob Ainscough. I upgraded my system two weeks ago which included a new case (Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow). Long story short, my wife came to me and asked how in the world do you turn the computer on?! She said she couldn't find the on switch for the life of her. I'll have to buy this just for her.
  4. It certainly can be the Fall Creator's update or the recent updates for the Meltdown and Spectre bugs. Have you recently updated your BIOS? The other factor you may want to check is the use of the ASUS tool to OC. In mine and many others experience, probably not the best to use for OC purposes. It's best for you to tweak all parameters of the BIOS manually.
  5. @Boomer Just a follow up after I installed my new vid card (Asus Strix 1080 Ti 11GB), and other various updates to my system. You can immediately tell the difference, well worth the cost and my time to track down this card at MSRP. I left my settings the same as with my old 960 and the system runs flawlessly. FPS hovers around 75 with default aircraft and scenery on ground, but drops to about 40 with PMDG aircraft and high detail sceneries. It may not sound like a lot, but when your running other addons like UTLive, Rex Skyforce, AS and FTX Global, the results are great. Textures seem to load almost instantaneously as well, utilizing the 11 GB of vid RAM I'm sure. I still have more tweaking to go since I bought an SSD and haven't installed it yet.
  6. I read an article about MicroCenter only selling graphics cards at MSRP to gamers going forward. There's a caveat though...you also need to purchase other components as well and need the Store Manager's approval before they would sell to you. If I run across the story, I'll link it to this comment. Quite honestly, I think amazon is your best bet. You'll need to stalk it a bit, but it seems everyday weekday around 7 AM and anywhere between 8 PM to 11 PM they have 1080 Ti's selling at or close to MSRP. I picked one up by stalking it a couple of weeks ago. Link to story: http://www.pcgamer.com/micro-center-will-sell-you-a-graphics-card-at-msrp-if-its-for-gaming-instead-of-mining/
  7. I do the same. I tried all that other stuff, running at 30 or 60hz, 1/2 frame rates etc. But running a 144hz monitor with unlimited set in P3D seems to be the best so far and I’m still running with a simple GTX 960. Curious to see how it will run once I pop that 1080 TI 11GB Card in this weekend.

  9. I got really lucky on Amazon. In fact one could say I was obsessed with constant checks on the website. The $600 - $900 models are out there, you just have to know where to look and have patience. If you're willing to wait a week or so, there are a few reputable sites taking pre-orders.
  10. Not sure the hype is going away anytime soon, but I managed to snag a Strix 11GB on Amazon (and fulfilled by Amazon) for a little over it's retail price. I should have it soon and looking forward to it.
  11. I'm looking for one as well. Went to reddit and found a great website to alert you when they're in stock. It's called Nowinstock.net. I finally have the money to get an 11gb card and can't find one...at least one that won't cost more than my whole build is worth.

  13. Rex devs have their hands full at their own forums. You should pose any questions you have over there. They are really responsive.
  14. In case anyone has Rex Skyforce, it appears the Hotfix should be released pretty soon. https://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/announcement/31-rex-sky-force-3d-hotfix-1-read-me-first-document/
  15. Never claimed that CS lied. My statement was only my opinion that the aircraft is not for me right now based on what I've seen from people who have bought it.
  16. After looking at all the Twitch and Youtube videos posted of the CS757, I quickly knew it wasn't a buy for me. And the $75 price tag helped a lot too. If you know what to pay attention to, it was very much apparent it was the same old CS757 with updated textures. Had CS been a bit more realistic on pricing (meaning some sort of discount for previous owners), I would have taken one for the team and bought it now and waited for the fixes to come.
  17. So let me get this straight. A dev from REX took time out of his day to address Pineapple_Wizard's statement, but not address James' pertinent question of whether this new software dynamically injects cloud and sky textures into the sim based on time, location and the weather. Interesting to say the least.
  18. I agree, great to hear about the systems, but really curious about the flight model. Putting the plane in a stall situation will tell the tale pretty quickly.
  19. It's a shame about the 757 port to P3D4. I always thought their original FSX version was bit too light in the systems, again keeping in mind that was their business strategy in the beginning. I was hoping for a little more in-depth simulation, but it's still an instant buy for me. Fingers crossed for some type of multi crew support.
  20. The support that you get from Chaseplane is immeasurable to any other Dev in the Flight Sim World IMHO. Keven is an absolute beast when it comes to supporting that piece of software. I don't think he sleeps.
  21. +1 on Wings, During the opening you can see my old airline Business Express (BEX) in the background. Good times!
  22. Umm, if you don't want to post it may I? I agree the CS757 was one of their first FMC Airliners as "Alcides" points out, but it was unacceptable for an aircraft to fall to the ground, flapping back and forth like a piece of paper whenever you stalled it (stall tests on purpose BTW). I too look forward to a decent 757 from a dev albeit CS, LevelD or QW, but minimally get the basic flight dynamics down.
  23. The best that we have right now is Feelthere's E-Jets. It appears they released the P3D4 version recently. http://www.feelthere.com/en/product/1240_embraer-e-jets-v-2-embraer-175-and-195-p3d4.html
