  1. Agreed, but I'm not using the Xbox controller for the aircraft, only camera views.
  2. The drone camera and all of it's relevant options are pretty sweet. Using it with an Xbox controller or similar gives you a fantastic experiencing.
  3. It’s not too bad at low level, but yes you are right, better at altitude. But even at 1000 FT, it still looked great.
  4. In order to run the simulator it's a requirement to sign into your Xbox Live account. At least that's my experience. Not sure if anyone has another method that I'm unaware of.
  5. Funny you mentioned that about the Philippines. Flew from Naga city over to Legazpi last night to check out Mount Mayon in the sim. Holy word not allowed the detail! All the way down to the old lava flows that you see in real life. Even Lignon Hill was there. These are the moments in the sim that just take my breath away. Certainly has changed the way I fly in the sim and I'm sure I'm not alone in that sentiment.
  6. It's under C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe and localcache I believe.
  7. And to think, it looks the same when you launch the game on your system. Phenomenal! Yeah, it has it's issues, but come on, you have to give them credit.
  8. Think this is pinned somewhere, but Squirrel did a great video on setting up peripherals that may help.
  9. Agreed! And the performance isn't that bad out of the box as some are making it out to be. Captured the below shot while torture testing my machine and tweaking settings. This is a departure out of JFK heading to the city with some horrendous weather I set in the sim. I have a measly I7 6700K OC'd to 4.5 GHZ , 32 GB RAM, 1080TI and running at 4k with custom High settings. This is also with AI turned on.
  10. I've seen some talk around it on the MSFS forums. Have you verified that you have the latest Windows 10 version? I believe Version 1909 is required minimally although the software shows an older version as minimum requirement. Also if you purchased from the Microsoft Store, be sure that the app is also updated. Want to say an update dropped for it yesterday. Last thing, make sure you are using the same email address across your MS Store account and Xbox Live account. Trust me, I made that mistake and finally resolved when I noticed the mistake I made. Finally when you boot into MSFS, go to Profile and then Content Manager, select all of the boxes and a green button should appear (if the program doesn't automatically update your content) allowing you to download the additional content.
  11. Agreed. We've been through this before. Those of us who have been simming for a while understand what Asobo and MS did was build a fantastic sandbox for all of the 3rd part developers to play in and eventually make the sim that much better. It's just going to take time.
  12. Agreed and there was a Microsoft Store update too. I had the same issues. Was finally resolved last night. Only difference is I bought the software directly from the store and was missing my premium content that I originally purchased.
  13. Be sure that you are using the same XBOX Live Account that you used when buying from the MS Store. The email addresses attached to each account must be the same.
  14. Wait! NickN's "The Bible" still exists. LOL I guess some elements are still relevant.
  15. Yes, the windows key + print screen method saves the screenshots in the same manner that hitting the “v” key in P3D did. In fact a separate “screen shot” folder is created in whatever folder “pictures” are being saved in Windows 10.
  16. Same here. I7 6700K OC'd to 4.5GHZ with 16GB RAM (16 more will be here tomorrow just in case) with a 1080TI. I purposely started out at JFK to tune the sim during night time with inclement weather. GPU utilized at around 98%, CPU AVG utilization around 75%. AVG FPS running around 28, but again this is worse case scenario out of one of the most taxing airports in the sim. Ran it at 4K on purpose as well with rendering down to 60. After that torture test and tuning of the graphics setting (running most settings on high), took the cub out to one of the Caribbean islands and averaged around 55 FPS with overcast skies. The props are definitely tuned better than the airliners. Seems the glass cockpits of the airliners really take a toll on the sim.
  17. The only thing I would be cautious about when turning HT back on is the additional heat generated. Especially if you’re staying with the same OC. Curious to see what OP’s temps are pre and post HT.
  18. The best part of that video is watching the 747 maneuver down the undulating runway on its takeoff roll. Very Satisfying!
  19. This internal performance monitor may come in handy to figure out best settings for those who don't utilize RivaTuner or similar software. Great visual representation of where the bottle neck may be with our systems.
  20. IMHO nomenclature of "Operations" should be used instead of asking "Ground" for services. In real world, Operations (for some locations Dispatch would be interchangeable) is the liaison anyway between Cockpit, Ramp and Passenger Services anyway.
  21. I have a few, but will keep it short: RPLL: Since my wife is from the Philippines and I've flown in and out of there quite often. Love it there and may passively retire there one day. KTPA: Worked there for a period of time with US Airways Express. I lived in Tampa during my twenties and quite honestly learned pretty quickly if I continued working and living there, I would have ended up dead or worse from partying too much. KBOS: Lived in Boston for 18 years out of my life and worked at this airport all of those years. 8 years with AA and American Eagle and another 10 years with Aviation Service Companies. VHHH: Flying in and out of Manila so much, I grew very fond of Hong Kong's airport. What a dynamic airport and surrounding. I agree with @F737NG TTPP: My family is from Trinidad & Tobago. Flew there quite often when I was growing up and I have no doubt, my flights on Pan Am and her 747's back and forth to Piarco played an important part in my love for all things aviation.
  22. Disregard, I'm just an word not allowed. Ransomware blocker was on.
