A question to OnAir users

Yeah, I've sent in my feedback but it seems it is working as intended. Absolute bonkers. -
A question to OnAir users

Not exactly happy about the maintenance costs in OnAir to be honest. Thought I'd do some maintenance on one aircraft that had an engine just go under 90%. Gaining a couple of percentage points will cost me almost 1.5 million and take about 24 hours. That feels kind of excessive. If I were to have engines at, say 85% and fix it up to 100%, it would be cheaper to buy a new aircraft instead of maintaining the old. Crazy. -
Whoa. Note to self; get a couple of Cane Corso if moving to that place.

Speaking of drumming. This guy seems to know a thing or two.

Oh, that would be a sweet rig indeed.. Eyeing the new Ryzens myself even though I am perfectly happy with my 3900x... We'll see.

Any OnAir users here? I have a question :)

Yes. You can go all solo if you want. Isn’t one of the worlds entirely without AI? I play on Cumulus, and if I wanted to I could go solo if I wanted (however I think it is kind of fun to do some micro managing at times). -
Hmmm.. is anyone using Majestic Q400 in OnAir? I'm having a hard time getting the flight completed after shut down?

who runs FS2020 on a ryzen 3800x ?

3900x user here. Couldn't be happier. Just about everything at Ultra at 3440x1440. 2080Ti and 32gb RAM. Great performance. -
A question to OnAir users

Oh! Glad to hear they plan to release for MSFS. Though, for me, OnAir is better and more in depth than AH (this coming from a huge AH-fan). -
A question to OnAir users

Subbed OnAir after the free trial. Went for the 2y sub. For a couple of bucks per month it easily beats even the free FSE imho. It’s really good and my FSE and Air Hauler 2 is now on a long vacation. -
Been flying exclusively in OnAir and MSFS the past week or so and the small default airports in the north of Norway, Sweden and Finland is really impressive. Their counterpart in the other sims are in comparison hilariously bad. Man I long for the day when I can get a really nerdy Turboprop in MSFS (like the TBM for X-plane or Majestic Q400). Wow.

Ok, so I have noticed one thing: If I go through the ATC while going from A to B every flight seem to be logged. If I skip ATC and just fly my flight plan most often only the landing gets logged (so as a consequence of this I have more than twice the amount of landings than take offs).
-
I've been flying in northern Finland since yesterday. Winds correlate fine with windy.com. One oddity I've noticed however is that ATIS often reports wrong conditions. I've had several occasions where ATIS claims 3 mile visibility but as I approach it's more like 50.. 😉

Naah. Triple digit FPS will probably never be obtainable as I am at 3440x1440. However, the 3090 will surely give me more peace of mind compared to the 2080Ti. I simply can't stand low frame rates. People unironically believing you "cant see over 24 FPS" never fail to amuse me as it's as easy as breathing to see the difference between low and high frame rates. It is reminiscent of the raving lunatic trying to tell everyone that the sky is, in fact, pink and not blue. Impossible to take seriously. However. That said; I'm biding my time at the moment. There are whispers of a 3080Ti as well.
-
Well I am in no hurry to fork out cash - the 2080Ti is actually working quite good. I'll wait for proper benchmarks and until the dust has settled and then I'll probably end up getting the 3090. Probably won't hurt with more GPU muscles as the add ons for MSFS will surely be more and more complex as time goes forward.

AMD 3900x w. 32gb of RAM and 2080ti. Sim on M.2 Nvme-disk. Performance better with patch no doubt. Rock stable. No crashes or malfunctioning avionics or anything.

I really love where this sim is headed...
Swe_Richard replied to RobJC's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Yeah, I am really impressed by this sim. I've been flying in OnAir in the northern part of Sweden and Norway and thinking this is default scenery is just insane. It totally murders the competition. I can't see myself flying to those small airports in the other sims any more. A couple of ludicrously nerdy turboprops in this sim would be absolutely epic.
