  1. For me, the flight model is a big obstacle in FSX... It lacks some fluidity, thermal and turbulence modeling etc. ASN and Accu-feel try to do the possible to overcome these flaws, but would be nice to see another platform with better fight dynamics and performance.

  6. Don't know if you agree that the weather sometimes is too much stable in the ASN. When I fly in a summer and very hot day I expect lots of bumps, thermals etc, but I find a calm and nice flight. I have the hotfix 5 installed. What 's your opinion? Thanks,
  7. Hot start, wet start and engine malfunctions at the start up can occur?
  8. 1. I tried the FSUIPC, but without success. What I understood is that FSUIPC can't create an axis for the steering tiller, but only makes the steering less responsive above certain speed. In the 737, steering coupled with rudder moves only 7 degrees, but the steering axis moves the nose wheel 78 degrees. This "new" steering axis, as well as other axis (like the spoilers) are things P3D should correct immediately. 2. Very nice they had this initiative, but I own the ASN. It would be nice if there were some turbulence and vibration sounds inside the cockpit, as well as rolling sound improvement...

  10. Indeed. But no problem, I use the space to put the FMC and the lower EICAS. It gets perfect. I like 2d panels, better frames and almost all information you need in sight.
  11. I asked a real 378 captain about the "feel" of a Level-D 737-8 full sim, and he said it was "95%" convincing. What about the NGX, how close to reality is its "feel", mainly on landing and take off? What is right and what it lacks? Specially now that we have the ASN...

  13. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the NGX would be a bit more difficult as we have the 2d panel.

  15. I've been thinking of a software that could evaluate your performance in the NGX or another PMDG acf like an instructor check. For example, some days ago, I forgot to turn on the packs and, when I got to 20.000 feet, the pressurization system began no beep (cabin pressure was around 10 thousand feet), and the cabin temperature was 10 degrees Celsius... What would be my penalty for that? That software could tell...
  16. ASN still has to make some advances. I haven't seen the "tilt" function... But its not recomended to fly with ASN without a WX radar.
  17. Just want to know whether there are plans to integrate ASN in the ND of addons like the NGX, FS Labs A320 (not yet released) and so on... Maybe it still lacks the "tilt" function as well as some particularities of the Rockwell Collins weather radars. Teo Halfen

  21. Not wanting to disregard the value of the information posted so far, but I'm still waiting a "review" of a 737NG captain or first officer.... specially if he is using Active Sky Next... Maybe, with P3D things are going to get better. Maybe Lockheed listens PMDG and other developers more than Microsoft did... A doubt: do Boeing sales the 737NG performance data for using in simulators or is that a "top-secret" information?
  22. I heard about a pilot who forgot to turn on these pumps in a A320 and had a dual flame out in flight. He was fired because of this mistake. In the 737NG can you have a flame out too?
  23. A flight plan has N460 (460 knots true airspeed). Do I have to convert this TAS to MACH NUMBER in order to insert it in the FMC? Thanks
