  1. I don't think it makes much difference, you can install in any order. But if I could ask a sort-of related question. As far I know, the freighter and the passenger 747 were released as one product in FSX. Was that not the case early on or something?
  2. Can't really imagine them not having it. It would be like taking a step backwards if they did not include its own manager or even possibly integrate it in with the NGX's. They left space for more aircraft models in the NGX manager.
  3. So check out what you have entered into the reserves field. I usually go with 10 (stands for 10,000). If it's much higher than that you may want to lower it. If that doesn't help simply add more fuel.
  4. ¿Sus monitores conectados a la misma computadora? Si lo están, se puede desacoplar un FMC y lo puso en una pantalla diferente.
  5. Robert said they would. Reread the sticky thread, it says:
  6. <sarcasm> No, really. </sarcasm>Anyone familiar with ATL operations knows that 26L is departing only, and 26R is for arrivals.
  7. Or get your Saitek drivers installed, and open up the command interface. Assign CAPS LOCK to your button one. That's free. Link: http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php
  8. Yeah you have to hold Tab while typing. The alternate way is to click on the scratchpad with your mouse, that turns it on and it stays until you click it again (this gets frustrating when you use spacebar to move your view, but what you gonna do).
  9. In the "NAVDATAwpNavAPT" file, each runway is given an altitude. So find EPKK, and for the specific runway change it to what you want. You need to know though that since FSX doesn't simulate sloped runways, the entire airport is at the same elevation. You should leave the runway values at the airport elevation for maximum sim-realism.The last 5 digits are the altitude, represented from column 70 to 74.EDIT: Well nevermind then :(
  10. Something that likely will not help, but to cover all bases, try going to precisionmanuals.com. The message appears to say you cannot access the PMDG website, like for activation or something.
  11. There isn't a database already made, though someone with a little programming experience could make one. You can find it yourself by using the search function (make sure to include the contents of each file in the search). Search "FSXPMDGSidstars" for "Gates." Every airport with gate positions for you to use will show up.
  12. Check your insert button (Might be listed as INS on your keyboard). If it happens again, press Insert and see if that fixes it.
  13. http://code.google.com/p/fscode/wiki/PDFKneeboardYou can try it, but I wouldn't expect great performance. It takes a few seconds to load a one page approach procedure, can't imagine what 100 pages would do to it.
  14. PDF's embedded in the VC for sure would be hard, but rendering them in an FSX window has already been done. You can open any PDF file within FSX with this utility.http://code.google.com/p/fscode/wiki/PDFKneeboard
  15. I think this is caused by the default text size on your system. If you have changed it from system-default in the past, change it back and see what happens.
  16. Actually since the autobrakes are set at a fixed rate, weight does not factor into it (correct?). The brakes will work harder to slow more weight, but the result is the same. The equation for runway usage is: 0.5 * (Groundspeed * 1.6878)^2 / (Rate of Deceleration in ft/s^2) + 1000.0.5 is like dividing by 2, you are taking your mean speed, and getting time to slow down multiplied by speed to give distance.1.6878 is a conversion from Knots to Feet per second, since we are dealing with feet, multiply by 0.5144 for meters, and use brake rate in meters/second.The addition of 1000 is for having landed 1000 feet down the runway, where deceleration actually begins.------------If you wanted to calculate a high speed exit, you would have to perform the calculation twice, once at landing groundspeed, and another at 40 or so knots. That way you can subtract the distance you 'would' have used for that last 40 knots. It may not be much, but that would be the most accurate calculation. The primary problem would be finding the distance to each high-speed exit to calculate for it.
  17. If your friend doesn't have the 747, how do you intend on sharing? Also note, the 747 does not play nice with a shared cockpit, lots of animations and commands (primarily the FMC) do not sync between computers.I suppose if you got a VNC running so you shared your computer screen with him, that might work, but at a huge frame loss on his end. Most VNCs also don't transmit audio, so he couldn't talk or receive comms.
  18. I concur. I went through my navdata files and found all the required points, it should work.Go through your "wpNavRTE.txt" file in your "FSXPMDGNavdata" folder. Use the find feature on notepad or whatever you use to find UHHH. Make sure there is an entry for both airways A333 and R211.Also, what error are you getting in the FMC when you try entering UHHH?
  19. Then it might just not be in the database. What is your route of flight?
  20. Turning off UAC is unnecessary. Simply give your FSX folder admin privileges. Go to where your FSX folder is stored (likely "Program FilesMicrosoft Games"). Right click it and go into Properties. Go to the Security tab and press edit. Grant yourself and the SYSTEM "Full Control". It should now work.
  21. The flight is from EHAM, where tutorial 1 left us off, and going to LOWI. Confirmation is on page 93 of tut 1.
  22. Make sure you have your Detail Radius set to high on your FSX settings. That's the only software advice I can think of. Maybe others can pitch in.
  23. It"s fairly simple. AIRAC is the current cycle, which is now 1202 (2012, ~Second month). Op program is the date from to the date to it is valid for, followed by the year. Not sure about Codata. So this cycle's data would be something like this.[Ident] NavData=AIRAC-1202 OpProgram=FEB09MAR08/12However, i'm sure if you wanted to, you could make the effective date from 1 Jan to 31 Dec. Never have to worry about it for a whole year.
  24. I'm not sure how much simulation you have done, but also make sure that your FSX folder has all the advanced privileges. Right click on your FSX folder and go to Properties, Security tab. Edit, and grant SYSTEM, and yourself "Full control." Without this no changes will be saved (including lbs/kgs).
  25. It would be simple to add the entries for some select gates if you wanted to. Go to the bottom of a certain airport's file (FSXPMDGSidstarsfile) and add :"GATES<entry>ENDGATES"to the bottom of your file if it isn't there already. Start off each gate with "GATE" and its name "B10." Then give it a set of coordinates. So for example this is a snippet of my CYYZ file:GATESGATE 0 N 43 40.63668 W 79 37.83834GATE B10 N 43 41.1 W 79 37.5ENDGATESBe sure to save your changes elsewhere in a backup as your next Navigraph download will overwrite everything.
