  1. There's also the FCOM V1 and FTCM. Much, much more information to be read.
  2. I'm almost at the point of just reading Robert's first post. Because really all these discussions are just an update, 6 pages of people saying thanks, and a few pages of arguments.
  3. That's also the Mad Dog/Mighty Dog term.
  4. The forward cooling system will go into override mode if the supply fans have shut down, there is low airflow, the EQUIP COOLING switch is off, smoke is detected or the FWD CARGO FIRE switch is armed.
  5. How can the flight attendants prepare the cabin if the captain has 'em seated?
  6. McDonnell Douglas issued a performance upgrade to 630000 pounds after the M11 entered service. The PMDG M11 is a standard version.
  7. I think it's a balance between too much time to worry about a pdf file that they didn't receive an exact date of delivery on, and a general "me, me, me" attitude.
  8. You can ventilate the engine by using either the ENG START button or moving the START MASTER switch to the applicable engine (don't use both at the same time). This will reduce the EGT much quicker. I think that the TTL computers working their magic. Maybe try turning them off (I don't know if that will work or not).
  9. What about Flight Plan with the accessible cargo hold, huge E-and-E bay, and the attic?
  10. Since, I'm in a nitpicking mood, Alaska 261's FO just didn't sit around playing gear and radio jockey. He was on the controls with the captain so I think he deserves some mention.
  11. Impatient? C'mon, I liked the word "impetuous" you used!
  12. The pilots were completely at fault for that crash. The crew did not use the engine anti-ice, took of with ice on the wings, and the captain did not reject the takeoff when the FO realized the engines were not producing enough thrust.
  13. Correct. If you have the MINS set to baro that would be a visual (with an ILS as a backup), ILS CAT I landing. a non-ILS approach or a circle-to-land approach. I do not think LOWI has an ILS CAT II/III approach. I believe Delta requires its pilots to tune to an ILS if at all possible during night visual approaches at least (that may include other approaches during daylight operations). So just not limited to small airplanes. Switch to STD at the transition altitude (18000 in the US and Canada). Switch to the local altimeter setting at the transition level (may be 1000 feet above the transition altitude). By the way, if you could please sign your posts with your full name. PMDG requires it or they may delete your posts.
  14. Eh. Movie and tv studios only care about profits and making the movie interesting to most people. That and most people don't know the difference between an APU and their butt so why take the time to make sure it's correct?
  15. I remember Ryan saying something about Tutorial 2 being out sometime around November/December. ETA: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/420410-tutorial-2/ Please see post 5.
  16. I believe there are a few screenshots of icing on the J41 product page.
  17. I see what you did there. Though, I'd change that simile from a smile to something else as I see the runway coming to an end.
  18. I prefer PMDG's "soon" or "it'll be ready when it's ready" approach. Robert should really copyright that. But I find it a tad funny to read some people's reactions when they don't meet the announced dateline.
