  1. Why would Boeing do that?
  2. Congratulations Philip. And Friday goes into Saturday night and into Sunday. Monday you have the world's biggest hangover compounded by the F-16s.

    777 Request

That's the reason PMDG isn't modeling it.

    777 Request

Either this guy doesn't speak English or is part of the huge group of English-destroying people I call teenagers. Learn to type/speak properly! They are not modeling the folding wing because no one has it. Same thing for no winglets on the 736. No one has them installed.
  5. Save the flight plan something like KPHXKJFK (or whatever cities you're flying from-to.Download the flight plan to your PMDG/FLIGHT PLANS folder. Then type the name of the flight plan into the COROUTE entry on the RTE page.
  6. The 777 and the NGX shares some of the same programming which cuts back on the development time. I was thinking sometime in 2013/2014 with their old production rate. If they can get it done by September, very happy 21st birthday for me...
  7. It's just a check. You don't need your aircraft doing things that it shouldn't be doing when you least expect it.
  8. Yes. That needs to be centered at 0. The aileron trim can be checked on the control column. It's the numbers and dashes that are at the top center of the control column. If the wheel is centered, aileron trim is good to go.
  9. The rudder/aileron trim has nothing to do with the FMS preflight. You need to check that the trims are centered. The trim knobs are located on the rear part of the radio console.
  10. I have no clue about the 744 for FS9. Have you tried restarting the engine? 1. I would run number 4 off tank 3 to get the fuel out of that tank. Then run engine 4 off tank 2 until both sides are even then run engine 4 off tank 4. That should keep fuel balanced on both sides. 2. a. The ENG OUT page should be right if you programmed it right. If you didn't then you're going to have problems. b. I had to uninstall Windows so I don't have the 747 in front of me at the moment. Sorry. c. I would think that a regular 3-engine cruise altitude would be around 260. I can't see a 744 making it from LAX to the UK on three engines at 18000. I would go with the VNAV Cruise page. 3. Rudder trim is for engine failures. I would say that aileron trim is for something such as a fuel imbalance or other issue making the wings unlevel.
  11. Are you addicted to the point that family and friends are being pushed back (no pun intended) to second and you can't live more than 5 minutes without the NGX? If yes, you have a problem. I am sure that there has to be some AA (no pun intended)-type rehab program available.
  12. I think watching the Pacific go by for hours is more boring than scenery you really can't see at 380.
  13. Press "S" until you get to the wing view and then pan around until you can see the VC. Or, in the VC, look back and open the flight deck door (ensure the door is unlocked). Then "walk" using a combination of the CTRL, SHIFT, BACKSPACE, and ENTER keys.
  14. Save the flight inflight (say 2 hours after takeoff) via the FSX Save menu. Not the PMDG - Save Panel State menu. Then when you want to load that flight, start FSX, choose Load from the main screen, select the flight and FSX will load the flight inflight.
  15. FMC data and switch positions are saved. Start the sim, load the flight and you're good to go. You may loose a little (not a lot) altitude while the sim initializes but the AP will get back on track.
  16. Not sure if I should take offense to your username or not... Too many voices. I'd rather just hear my inner voice and the FO's voice. Add two more voices and that is rather insane...
  17. After I bought the MD-11 I was on a YSSY-PHNL flight. About an hour before top of descent FSX crashed. I was p*ssed. After that I realized that saving regularly is a fairly good thing. Especially on a long-haul...
  18. Send a support ticket to PMDG at support.precisionmanuals.com.
  19. No. The installer that you downloaded includes all the service packs. It is updated to the current build.
  20. I think there are some European airlines that fly delivery flights from Boeing Field to their home country with two pilots, no passengers/cargo, and tanks full to the brim. However the max. range for the -800 is about 2800 nm if I remember correctly.
  21. Craig, there were some pictures (internal/external) that were pinned either during or shortly after the conference in Munich. They have been taken down I think. Here are the pictures that were released: http://fsblogspot.wordpress.com/2012/04/13/pmdg-announces-777-and-747-v2/
  22. From the Menu screen, select ACARS (LSK 2L). Then select EVENT TIMES (LSK 4R). You should then see a screen titled ACARS - CURRENT FLIGHT. Here is the OUT/OFF/ON/IN times along with flight number, DEP/ARR ariports, and the UTC.
