  1. Her hump is too big and Boeing needs to bring back the winglets.
  2. VCL is the minimum clean speed. VFR is the speed that you retract the flaps at. VSR is the speed that you retract the slats..
  3. More room to stand and more money for the execs.
  4. Congratulations. You should be proud.
  5. Their download links are all from Amazon servers.
  6. Last time I checked Robert has 8 minions (or whatever The Mob calls the Boss's right-hand men) to do his bidding so I'd say we've been getting small "official" updates... I'm willing to bet that we won't get a taxi cam. You want one, you can just use an external viewpoint. The communications part of the MFD displays I don't think is important (unless you fly online). Other than those two things, beta, a release date, and pricing, I think everything's been covered. Concerning beta, I've got my own conspiracy theories that I'm not going to mention here. You've been counting the days since the conference? Nerd!
  7. I have noticed that they seem to be a bit more vocal (or would that be "typical"?). However, I'm in the middle. I like the short question-answer method (Is there going to be X in the T7? Yes/no.) but I do sort of miss the long-winded, detailed explanations of what's going on. But look at it this way, if they are too vocal they aren't doing anything. If they are too quiet they are working their butts off. (Or they don't want to talk to us...)
  8. I don't think there is. I think the reason that the MD-11 and 744 have that option is because they are runway limited. You can't stop an aircraft that size/weight on a 3,000 ft runway. A 737 I'd say you could land at a regional airport with a smaller runway.
  9. I thought that airlines fly their planes from KPAE to a hub then right into service. I can't see a $300 million T7 go from Boeing for fitting out at a hub.
  10. Just change the airport after the sim loads.
  11. Set a key command and keep pressing that combination every few seconds?
  12. Shut down the aircraft like at the end of a flight. Save this panel state by using the FSX save menu. Then you can load that when you start FSX and want to fly the MD-11. No. Failures are not saved. You need to turn the failure back on if you shut down FSX.
  13. On the F-PLAN page click whatever waypoint you're going to start the STAR. For example BLM would start the BLM2G STAR. Select a transition. Then choose whatever runway is in service. For example ILS 14 is in service. Choose that and click INSERT. That should be it.
  14. Damn. If it's gone on for 7 pages it will never stop. By the way, neither came first.
  15. Jason did say something about us being surprised about something while back in a speculation thread.
  16. I'm not sure if it does or not. I had to uninstall Windows and have yet to reinstall it so I don't have FSX in front of me. But look at it this way. The F/O gets some valuable experience if things start to go pear-shaped.
  17. I think he was talking about a post or something that I don't remember where. My memory isn't that good. No need to have the USAF light me up...

    777 HUD/HGS?

FedEx is ordering their new 777Fs with the HGS. If it's a real-life option and airlines use the HGS, I think PMDG would model it.

    777 Request

How can you have an ATPL by 20? I thought the minimum age to fly commercially was 23? I wasn't thinking about socio-economics, the riots, or anything else. It's just that not typing or speaking correctly irritates me and teenagers were in my line of sight.
  20. I think I'm hijacking this thread. I think I remember reading they are having issues with their site. Perhaps this is an issue?
  21. I Googled PMDG and it loaded for me.
  22. The flight crew can (Captain and F/O only) fly for 8 hours max (if I understand flight/duty times). Flights over 8 hours requires an IRO. I think flights over 12 hours require two IROs. These IROS may/may not be able to sit in at a flight station for takeoff/landing. The active crew is required to be in their seats for takeoff/climb/descent/landing. During cruise it is a gentleman's deal on how relief times are dealt with. Couple hours on, couple hours off type thing.
  23. I can't use my PC at the moment so I tried with my Mac and Safari won't even load the page... For whatever it's worth...
  24. Ryan said no. I think it's over in 737 MAX thread a bit farther down. EDIT: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/372903-737max-by-pmdg/. See post #20.
  25. If Boeing or whatever airline(s) PMDG works with doesn't want to give out that information to the public, they don't have to. Would be nice to have that information. Though, I'd place my trust in the FMS and the ENG/FUEL EICAS displays. Those (in my opinion) will give you more accurate results rather than basic performance data.
