I remember software that I had for airport environment enhancement.. specifically, it had settings to change how bright the runway/taxiway lights were. I, for the life of me, cannot remember what the name of the software was. It's not Flight Environment X, REX, or anything by Zinertek and I cannot seem to find it in my files listing...Anyone have an idea?-Damien

And after 10 minutes digging around in their support forum, I found a thread that had a fix that worked. it appears to be a multi-throttle axis glitch.. I remember looking there when I originally had the problem but must have glazed over the thread. made a .cfg file, ran the helo and did a nice flight ending in a crash.. and because it actually flew like it should.. I thank you.-Damien

I'll check them out.. I'd been in contact with the developer of the Dodosim 206, but all he came up with is that there was some other axis.. Thanks.-Damien

If I were to make some suggestions, try out the cera simulations helos. The 222b is their most recent, but all models fly very well with excellent detail in the VC. Sadly, due to piracy they have decided to discontinue making aircraft. You can still purchase the aircraft online.Dodosim makes a great 206 with 5 levels of difficulty, sadly, it no longer works with my joystick... it seems to detect a completely separate throttle axis and refuses to respond to my throttle through FSUIPC. -Damien

I've used the Aerosoft Huey and enjoyed it, but there are many who could not use it for what appeared to be a conflict between their controller and the new flight dynamics module. There is a fix (Not sure if it's temporary or permanent), but the fix disables the module and makes the aircraft fly like a default helo. I have this problem with my Saitek X-65F.-Damien

VC is alright, not terrible.. not stellar.. cockpit reminds me of the F-22 in regards to textures, detail.. etcSounds could not be judged as my most recent patch has wierded out sound on my PC..FDE performance is just ok.. the 1.20 patch screwed up the FDE's,. not stellar like the A-10 or the F-14. Several issues on their forums in the support pages. their guy in charge says they will revisit a patch in the new year. I just found a bug,, if you crash the plane, when the sim reloads and you use autostart, the engines don't start...General Look, The plane does look good.For $10 it's not bad and has potential to be quite a bit better once a patch comes out.Currently the guy in charge at Iris is out of commission for a bit. He just recently got out of surgery and is recovering.-Damien

Tom Allensworth, Maybe you can answer a question for me. As I wanted to be in compliance, I posted a request for screenshots for XP10 in the screenshot forum yet the post I made was locked. after review of the rules in the screenshot forum, I realized I hadn't posted a picture. If I'm jumping a chain of command I apologize but the person who locked it never revealed themselves and obviously if I don't know who it is, I cannot contact them directly. back to my point. I agree with your frustration, BillG, they were rubbing on my last nerve. Funny.. After I (Quite rudely) posted asking about the announced beta that had lasted several months long a few weeks ago and sarcastically giving my order number due to their demands, my post was deleted, my signature was deleted and order history for the AW109 has been deleted from their website. Good thing I saved the e-mail and activation code.-Damien

Just noticed that the Nemeth Designs AW109's FDE patch has quietly been released. I gave the aircraft a spin this evening and the aircraft handles much better/easier and flies faster in level flight. Maybe it's just me but I also noticed the FPS hit on the HD models was reduced significantly. The link to the website and patch is here. Mentioned above DCS A-10 Warthog is a separate game, not a flyable plane in Flight Simulator. The T-37 Tweet also mentioned above is only compatible with FS2002 and 2004.The Iris line are great aircraft as is the Aerosoft F-16. VRS as mentioned is very awesome and so are the A2A simulations aircraft.-Damien

the Overdrive textures may be a little much for your laptop but the software is great. You do have many selections and options to tune down the frames.-Damien

Keep in mind VRS did something like this as well.. If you buy the boxed version, you do get updates, but don't get to post in their support forums. You must contact the developers directly. You can at a later time purchase access to support forums for around 5 dollars.-Damien

Yes, I'm not a fan of pre ordering a game and on release day it not being available to download. 36 hours later it was still not available. It had a "files are being downloaded and will be available in a few hours" note on their website for at least 36 hours before I emailed them asking for a refund. steam had the software ready for download in the first few hours after release, not 2 days later. I am not the only one ###### about the lack of speed.. there are others not to happy about simware taking their sweet time to release the files. I know I'm not the only one who requested a refund from the distributor.I don't need your sympathy.-DamienOh yeah, let me add that I went and purchased it on steam.. Love the game, didn't download it from simware. -Damien

simware is trying to deny issuing me a refund... Currently having out of memory issues with the game on a win 7 machine with 6gigs of ram and steady frames. -Damien
