    fsglobal used a base mesh; over some areas add lidar ; but these areas are 'local' very likely is the majority of the world is done using a 30 m database such srtm possibly interpolated to 'fatten the terrain'. 10 m mesh is a excellent base for wide coverage where data are available.

    no mesh; for example shorelines patches; or areas of bad photogrammetry need to be rebuilt with custom objects manually

    any mesh in msfs is a BIG step backward fly p3d and a 10 m mesh the difference is all there to be seen even xplane have better mesh than msfs

    it is one of the worst quality of this sim - limitations objects view distance = limited trees view = limited i do not understand why asobo can not add a slide to let user control this functions

    It could well be server related as turning off online mode look like fix it hope is not here to stay as it break a flight

    But he / she got a point last update introduced a bug that drop fps suddenly making the game virtually unplayable
