  1. It does look as lessons from the past have not been learned regardless of how good or bad this new sim is regarding addon strategy.
  2. Yes i agree; p3d price tag is costly; but the sim is reasonable fully functioning sim; to me there is no preference; Fsw is what is and P3d is what it is; i use all sime available out there really. Some simmer rather avoid the pain of Early access stages; and prefer to splash the $$$ to be up and running straight away because of hobby time limitations etc etc. Yes Fsw have nice ideas but still have a long way to go at the moment.

  4. there is some info here http://www.pcpilot.net/2017/09/27/prepar3d-v4-1-announced/
  5. well Chock your posts are so long it is easy to get lost in there - they make a good read however - spot the trend fsx se - fsw train sim - csv heavy haul however ........ and surely time will tell
  6. Steam gamers will not spend $. 20. 30. Or 50. For an fs add on. Very unlikely at this point
  7. Dtg and the sdk is a long story only few know how it look 👀 and very likely will stay that way
  8. To be honest i do not get your point there is quite few weather engines already out there very well capable fly real weather infacts as is now i fly real weather in all sim without any problem
  9. whatever but fsw weather is static; that should be resolved first; than anything else as if stay that way i will throw my fsw to the thrush
  10. yes true fsw include accufeel; but that is not new either to flightsimulation - yes is included as default - very true - but the fsw terrain engine is mostly unchanged from fsx; that is why fsx - addons terrain based scenery work in fsw as they are, and to be honest they also show exactly as in fsx or p3d. I am comparing the scenery and how it look in fsw - not the simulators itselfs.
  11. put it the way we like it - either than true sky different clouds i see no other difference - using high res photorealistic + TREEX-LEGACY either in fsx p3d or fsw
  12. it is not a matter of being positive or negative; that is open to personal interpretation anyway. not saying that the work presented on the video look good or bad (on the video) - or that fsw is bad or good all i say is that photorealistic and autogen is nothing new and if anybody like this kind of scenery there is lots already out there; as is not just being invented yesterday : just an example xplane look at france vfr works to give another example - fsx / p3d - and possibly also work in fsw http://www.francevfr.com/product_vfrlanp3d.htm Frank Dainese works: http://scenarialpinifsx.blogspot.co.uk/ maybe those are also best scenery ever ?
  13. sorry but i fail to see what is so special about photorealistic and autogen when we had it already for 20 years? do i miss something ??
  14. Nor that the other sims are stopping to develop either and who knows
  15. Lots of stuttering on that video it is because of recording?? Or performance related?
  16. On steam competition is fierce those 67 millions have 67 millions games to play with a couple of millions being high tech modern graphics stuff The majority of Stem users when look at sim graphics will be put off instantly as they are used to richer contents than us
