  1. Thank you for the explanation. Not sure that I understand all of it, but I do more than I did and it will help in further studies.. Ernie
  2. Sorry if this has been asked before. I didn't see an explanation in the manual under Airspaces. The Airspaces information tab for KLEX lists multiple sources for Airspace information; Three are from Navigraph and last two appear to be from the default BGL file. The Navigraph entries include lines labeled 'Multiple code: B', 'Multiple code: Z' and 'Multiple code: A'. Could you tell me what those designations mean? BTW, the information able Z and A are duplicates. Interestingly, at least to me is that KCVG has dual entries for Class B, but doesn't have an entry for the inside zone like Lexington does. Thanks, Ernie
  3. I have the FSX version and with the exception of the fuel and pushback IMHO it doesn't do much for GA. I mean you aren't going to use jetways, catering, passenger boarding/unboarding, cargo loading, etc.. However, someday you may decide to fly commercial and it does add to the experience with those.
  4. Moderators take note: The OP's question gets asked fairly frequently so perhaps Dan's info should be pinned?
  5. Sorry I can't help, but have you considered trying AIFP? It's essentially the replacement for Traffic Tools, is compatible with FS2004 (aka FS9) and will display any missing aircraft.
  6. Thanks. I've seen the options before but honestly just glanced over them.
  7. FSX, but you may nave just explained the difference. I'm using FSUIPC to limit traffic to 185 aircraft. Traffic Toolbox and AI-Companion must be reading post-filter rather than LNM's pre-filter. It's not an issue, but sometimes LNM can be displaying 400 aircraft and only 185 are actually in the air in FSX. At those times it gets a bit confusing when referring to LNM. Thanks..
  8. I just tried it with my controller and that seems to be the default action. I was hoping to give you an alternative. No luck, but will still keep trying. In the meantime maybe someone else can.
  9. FYI, LNM 2.8.8 32-bit and Traffic Toolbox disagree on the numbers of of AI aircraft. LNM lists 223 aircraft and Traffic Toolbox 185. I tried AI-companion and it agreed with Traffic Toolbox. I tried closing and restarting LNM as well as toggling the connection, but the results were the same. I thought there use to be a way in LNM to list all of the Ai traffic, but probably just imagining it. Ernie
  10. I would recommend keeping your options open only because there has to be someone out there with some positive experiences. Hopefully, they will respond so you have a more balanced set of experiences. By the way, there is FreeMeshX Global out there if you want to give it a try.. I've not, but it's free. The AVSIM library also contains several airports optimized for the mesh.
  11. I own the original Air Hauler, but haven't flown it for years. I just remember getting tired of having to constantly fly to avoid losing reputation. No such thing as vacations or multiple days off it you wanted to be successful at it. Too close to real life. I can't say how Air Hauler 2 differs. As for FS Global 2010. I bought it, used it, uninstalled it, don't miss it. Having a more realistic terrain was nice, but I kept running into some airports having weird terrain issues. Add on airports are developed with the assumption that the buyer doesn't own a mesh product, so don't always fit naturally when you add one. As with all things, my experience and others may have different ones.
  12. I can't answer your question, but as a workaround Little Navmap is a freebie and displays VATSIM and IVAO traffic as well as bunch of other things that FS Commander does. There's a forum for it here on AVSIM.
  13. This is something that I wish Blackbird Simulations would clarify on the download page. Frequently the text under the graphic reads "P3D V2 V3 V4 V5 | FSX" when it's really only "P3D V4 V5".compatible.
  14. Probably not unless Blackbird chooses to release the installers for the older versions. I've ran into the same issue with FSX, where the caption under the photo includes FSX, but when I go to install only the P3Dv4 or P3Dv5 options are available.
  15. Odd that FSX seems to load without issue and some of the blank entries have checkmarks. A couple of things you could try if rebooting your computer and restarting FSX doesn't work. Look in Program Data\Microsoft\FSX and see if Scenery.cfg exists. If so then it likely got corrupted. At that point you can try one of two things; First make a copy of the existing Scenery.cfg. Then see if you have a backup copy of Scenery.cfg or one that's been renamed. If so, copy and rename it to Scenery.cfg and reload FSX. Depending on how old the backup version is you might lose any recently installed scenery add-ons. The second and the one I might try first would be to open the scenery.cfg file in Scenery Config Editor and see if it can repair the existing Scenery.cfg file. That's the longer route because you would need to download and install SCE and there are still no guarantees you won't end up having to do the former. If the above fails then there is a copy of Scenery.cfg in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX, but that version only contains the base scenery data and you'll have to reinstall any add-ons. Good luck..
  16. Sorry to hear that. I downloaded the 737 and Twin Comanche yesterday evening and just now the KA3450i with zero issues using Chrome, so maybe timing is everything.
  17. Airnav.com among others..
  18. Within in Simbrief once you create and generate your flight you click on 'Flight Plan Downloads', which is on the menu of options above your fight plan (Edit Flight, View PDF, etc.). A list of different aircraft or utilities which can use the flight plan are displayed. Scroll down to 'FSX/P3D' and download it. Do not choose the 'No SID/STAR' version. You'll have to move it to the folder than hosts your FSX flight plans on your machine. Then use the flight planner option in FSX to load the plan. Alternately you can get the Simbrief Downloader, which will download it and move it to the appropriate folder, but that might be a bit of overkill in you only use it occasionally.
  19. Haven't flown the C208B, in a while, but when I attempt a pushback with GSX I get an immediate tail slam, then the aircraft stays in the nose high position. Wondering is anyone else has experienced this? Thanks..
  20. If you are getting airports other than the add-ons then perhaps you have 'Hard surface' or one of the other icons selected? Only the Add-on icon should be highlighted if you want just the add-on airports visible.
  21. Using the latest version of Little Navmap? Click on the gray airport icon to the left of the VOR icon. That will open a drop down menu where you can specify what airports you want to view. Or View -> Airports from the menu.
  22. Can't answer your question as they pertain to the Honeywell, but Little Navmap or Simbrief offer some options if you don't get an answer. LNM offers a flight planner as part of its many features and includes Navigraph cycle 1801. You can create a flight plan, include your SIDs and STARs and export it to FSX.pln format. 1801 means first cycle 2018, so it's not exactly current data. Simbrief is a free online flight planner, owned by Navigraph. It grants free access to cycle 2103, so a bit more current. You can create your flight plan, then export it in FSX.pln format as well as a bunch of others.
  23. Sorry, I seemed to have skipped over the part that said P3D.. I'm using FSX.. Hopefully a P3Dv5 user will come along..
  24. Just fired up my EX and the lights work without issue.
