  1. Peter, My understanding is that the Flight1 GTN 750 uses the Garmin Trainer database and not Navigraph. Ernie
  2. You could try seeing if both the Intel and Nvidia are listed in Device Manager under Display adapters. If so, then right click on the Intel entry and disable it.
  3. Flight1 SoundStream might be your answer. It works great when switching programs on a single machine with multiple monitors. I don't see why it wouldn't work equally as well with Synergy. It's Flight1 and they have a refund policy if it doesn't.
  4. Great work. Guess I'm going to have to learn how to fly a helicopter. :-)
  5. Thanks for the clarification. I would recommend posting your issue to the official NG support forum on Aerosoft. Capt Pero responds much more quickly there. Ernie
  6. Just for clarification; are your referring to the freeware version of SIMstarter or the payware SIMstarter NG? Thanks..
  7. CClearner is a great program, but it's not comprehensive in what it removes. I've had better luck with Revo Uninstaller Pro followed by CCleaner. I recommend looking in the path you initially installed FSX in, as well as AppData\Roaming, ProgramData and My Documents to insure all traces of FSX, or FSX support files have been removed. Then run Regedit and search for any occurrences of FSX or Microsoft Flight Simulator, etc. Ernie
  8. I realize that it's no solution, but, this is an 'unofficial' Orbx support forum, meaning that if you want the problems solved you are best to post to the Orbx forum. I would also recommend posting photos of your problems, so others can see what issue you are having. Ernie
  9. Have you thought about using the flight simulator feature in Google Earth?
  10. Nick, I understand your reluctance, but SIMstarter and SIMstarter NG use different code, so there would be no way to know if you would have the same issue SIMstarter NG without trying NG. The one thing I can assure you is that if you experience the same problem in NG then Capt Pero can troubleshoot and fix the issue. That is never going to happen in the free version. However, it would probably be best to pose the question on the SIMstarter NG forum rather than AVSIM. Ernie
  11. Nick, You might get lucky and Capt Pero will answer, but as the free version of SIMstarter is no longer being supported your problem may not get resolved. I would recommend that if you find SIMstarter useful then consider getting the payware version, which is being supported and maintained. It really is a good deal at ~$14 USD. Ernie
  12. Given the smallness of the SSD drive I would consider using it for my OS and put FSX on the 1TB drive, or get a second larger SSD for the simulator. Unless, it's a fairly small FSX and related files installation and you don't anticipate growing it very much.
  13. Yes, I think it also mentioned in the SAMM documentation. The reason being that the conversion to static model likely fails what the Wikipedia article "Derivative work", terms as the originality requirement. Ernie
  14. You might want to post the question to the HiFi forum before purchasing AS16. Since you purchased ASN though Steam, there might be some issues with qualifying for a discount on the retail version of AS16.
  15. Well, not a total waste. Having the extra memory allows programs that may be running at the same time as FSX to grab their own chunk of virtual memory, rather than forcing FSX to share its 4GB.
  16. You would have to create the correct phase using EVPX then substitute it for the default. Here's a path to the tutorial. Although I've created some replacements it has only been for airports. I should also mention that I have the paid version, but I don't think that makes a difference. Ernie
  17. I don't think there is an AI package for FSX that meets your requirements. The closest might be MyTraffic 6, which the author still updates and supports. Even then, new repaints and flight plans usually only happen with major releases, although there might be a few adjustments with minor releases. Of course, the advantage is that if an aircraft exits in MT6 you'll have a actual livery for it rather than one of the Daedalus substitutes. WOAI is probably the most active with new repaints, but doesn't cover as many of the airlines as MT6. It also, as you are aware requires individual installs. The advantage is that the model detail is superior to MT6. Also, even after install MT6 needs a certain degree of user involvement to remove scenery BGLs which might duplicate other add-on scenery.
  18. MT6 also adds parking, so that more AI is present at airports.
  19. Simbrief.com is free and will generate iFly flight plans as well as several others.
  20. Unfortunately, it seems that RealAir has become more about updating their current models than creating new aircraft.
  21. Thanks for the clarification..
  22. I might be wrong, but I think that 160528 is going to force the migration.
  23. Eyepoint Reset; Ctrl+Space. Happens frequently to me.
  24. No, You can go into Settings in FTX Central and turn off updates. After that, if you don't install the 160528 or later Orbxlib you should be good to go.
  25. Possibly a bad download. I would try again.
