  1. Are you sure that you need to buy it again? If purchased through Steam/Dovetail it should still be available for download from your Steam Library menu.
  2. Sorry to hear that. Other than what I suggested, if I had this issue and was adamant about the continued use of FLAi then here is what I would try; First, list what your current software and hardware specs are; What OS, what version of FS/FS:SE, what CPU, how much RAM, what video card and how much VRAM does it have, etc. The more specifics you post the more likely you are to get an answer. It could simply be that your system is inadequate.. Not the answer anyone wants, but possible. Failing that, I would backup fsx.cfg, scenery.cfg, dll.xml, exe.xml, then delete them, restart the simulator and let FSX/FSX:SE rebuild them. Then reinstall FLAi only, try some flights on VATSIM using a default aircraft and see if the problem still occurs. If the issue doesn't occur with a default or near default installation, then you have issues with your setup and I would slowly rebuild my installation starting first with the AVSIM guide. Re-add any aircraft, airports, addons slowly and test between. If it still occurs with a default or near default installation, then you may need to completely uninstall and re-install your sim. Rather than the above, if everything except FLAi is working to your satisfaction there exists the option to ditch FLAi. Sorry, there appears to be no easy "flip this switch and the problem is solved" answer.
  3. FLAi About halfway down is the Feedback box.
  4. Sorry, wish I could offer something else. The fact the traffic worked, even for a little while means the installation is okay. The question now becomes as Dave mentioned, one of system specs; Operating system, CPU, memory, video card, video memory, etc. as well as settings within FSX. There is an ability to post feedback on the FLAi site main page. You might try posting your question there. Perhaps one of the developers or beta testers have seen the issue before. Good luck, Ernie
  5. Kareem, Wish I could offer a solution, but can only give you more questions; 1) Did you install using the Operations Center or manually? 2) Do you meet the perquisite requirement of having Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 (x86 and x64) installed? Note, both editions (x86 and x 64) 3) Did you insure that you selected FSX and Prepared 3D v3 or earlier version? 4) What drive/directory did you install the FLAi into? It's important that you click on 'Change' in the Settings" window and point to your FSX for FSX:SE root directory. Don't install the aircraft outside of your main FSX/FSX:SE directory. The aircraft need to find your texture and effects folders. 5) Click on 'Save' then confirm that the path shown in Update/Setup windows is correct.. 6) After installation, check to insure there is a FLAi Aircraft folder inside your SimObjects folder. 7) If it's not there then you installed the aircraft into an incorrect location. If so, go to 'Add or Remove Programs' in Windows and uninstall the aircraft and try again. Ernie
  6. I just migrated to the Orbx managed CP. I have one suggestion. I noticed that Orbx installs CP into C:\Program Files, but I have a dedicated drive/directory for FSX and addons to make backup easy. Would it be possible to prompt for an installation directory rather than Orbx automatically selecting one? Thanks..
  7. If you get a chance watch the Rocketman documentary on Amazon Prime. It's all about his journey. Regardless of his beliefs, he was pretty ingenious.
  8. Check the ' Enable Legacy Layering' box in Settings - Insertion Point and you can specify the old layering method. Of course in true Orbx fashion every time Orbx Central gets updated it's going to reset the checkbox, so you'll need to tick it again.
  9. Always appreciate a sale, but on sale the airports are more expensive than non-sale FSDT. At 40% I'd bite, but 20% just isn't enough to get me fired up. Best wishes anyway..
  10. Sorry, but your machine specs are such that you're going to have issues with any high quality aircraft or scenery. Default aircraft is about all you're going to be able to run with any decent frame rate, except perhaps some low res add ons. Other than the i3 CPU you're starved for memory. 4GB is just not enough for FSX and the background apps.
  11. Scenery Library -> Load Scenery Library in the menu. You should be able to select which simulator that you want to create the database from as well as set the base path and scenery.cfg location. There are two additional options at the bottom of the dialog once which pertains specifically to P3D. Once done, make sure that you select the appropriate simulator in the Scenery Library menu.
  12. I think that's where the issue may be. There are only a few options for Axis type controls and those appear to all be in the Preferences -> Control Assignments section. As for other assignments they are limited to key presses and buttons. I haven't looked at Named Assignments, but suspect they might be limited also. I haven't tested if CP will allow multiple Axis 'X', 'Y', etc. assignments coming from multiple devices. Something you can't do with button numbers.
  13. I have the 337 and while the folder lists several items there is no in depth information about the aircraft. Just a list of procedures, and V speeds. The file size is large because it contains a graphic backgrounds similar to what is included with the aircraft not because of the amount of information.. For the best 337 documentation, but sadly not so great a FS2004 to FSX port, you have to look to FSD International. Now that's some documentation..
  14. How do the triggers show up in Windows 10 USB Game Controllers? Axis or button?
  15. I would recommend checking the iFly forum to insure that any patches, hot fixes, etc. are applied so you have the most current version. Also, maybe review pages 41 - 51 of the tutorial to make sure you are hitting all of the requirements. The only time I've had issues with the Autopilot is when I've forgotten to set it. And it shouldn't be set on the ground, but once in the air.. unless you are referring to Auto Throttle.
  16. The first step is to remove the copy of the airport that you don't need from the flight sim's scenery library. After that rebuild the LNM database by selecting 'Scenery Library->Load Scenery Library'.
  17. I don't think so. I removed VFX Central even though I haven't yet migrated and experienced no issues. Would suggest a uninstall and reinstall and see if that helps.
  18. LNM has no control over what details the selected map tiles displays, so the answer is unfortunately, No.. You can try using a different set of maps (Theme) that doesn't include the airport background.
  19. Are you using an app such as SIMstarter NG to close it because my ChasePlane has never closed on its own with FSX. Which is to say that it gives me a message that the simulator has closed, but CP stays open. Perhaps a P3D feature only..
  20. Another update to AI Companion has been posted to AIG Forum. This one includes a f'ing amazing stats feature. As always, the application including the stats feature is intended for BGL based AI traffic, such as FSX default, MyTraffic, Traffic Global, Orbx Freeware, etc. Some features such as the Live Traffic will likely work with injected traffic addons such UTL, UT2, etc., but your mileage may vary. No install necessary, just download, unzip and run. The author isn't asking for donations, but if you do download and like then give him some love via a message in the appropriate thread on the AIG forums. Ernie
  21. Didn't want to hijack someone else's thread, but there was mention in another thread of version 1.1.5.5. Is this an experimental version because I don't have experimental my title windows shows 1.0.50? Thanks
  22. Cool, now we get to deal with JV's dismissive attitude..
  23. Depending on the aircraft some features won't be retained during a save. The contents of the FMS is one of those with my iFly 737. You're aircraft may be the same. So, I would agree that it's best to have both the departure and arrival airports loaded and try to avoid a reload during flight.
  24. FSUIPC has a save feature that can be enabled, however I'm not sure if it's available in both the free as well as registered version. I don't use it because it introduced pauses into my flight during the save although others use it with great success. Also, be aware that things like FMC flight plans, etc. may not be saved because that's an internal thing that FSUIPC doesn't control. Even then, depending upon the timing of saves it may not reflect the moments before your crash.
  25. They don't as long as you bought the Saitek throttle with the USB connector. The other, which I'm not sure can be bought without the yoke, other than used, has a PS2 type connector and must be used with the Saitek yoke. Ernie
