  1. Thanks for the explanation, I've also seen issues with buildings disappearing at certain viewing angles, it didn't occur to me that it might be related to using photoreal textures. When I saw this issue it was at an airport that included photo textures just around the airport. It seems to be an FSX bug and not limited to Megascenery.
  2. Do you have Airport Design Editor (ADE) (and the SDK)? In ADE, do Open Stock Airport, then compile and save the BGL to a scenery folder that's above your other scenery. I don't really understand why it would be necessary, but that sounds like what you want.
  3. XML gauge - Test mode

    Just guessing, how about: <Value ... >(L:TestMasterSwitch) 0 == if{ (L:CabinTemp,Celcius) } els{ 60 }</Value>
  4. No you can't control at this granularity without the xml code. I'm just saying that if you don't use SODE in FSX, then you can disable SODE per-sim and just have it enabled for P3D. EDIT: In addition I question the value of using sdx files, there can't be that much intellectual property in SODE xml code, why bother to hide it?
  5. Very nice detail, love how the rivets look and all the little dings and scratches.
  6. If you don't use SODE at all for FSX, you can deactivate SODE just for FSX using the SODE platform manager application. It should be in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\12bPilot\SODE
  7. Aircraft Scenery Objects

    Yes, there is a free program that does this: http://stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?Folder=SAMM
  8. Message on starting FSX-SE

    My guess it's from an addon scenery that was uninstalled but failed to fully clean up the scenery.cfg entry. I agree with Charlie, normally you would normally expect to find an entry with a file path to a deleted folder. I would just remove the entry. I don't think the sim can fully rebuild the scenery.cfg including addon scenery automatically, you would need to go into the Scenery Library window and add all the addon areas if you restart with a clean scenery.cfg. There is a free program called Scenery Config Editor which can validate your scenery config and clean up any invalid entries.

    Which scenery.cfg file did you check, the one in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX?
  10. I see 35 repaints here: https://library.avsim.net/index.php?CatID=fl_repaint&Sort=Added&ScanMode=1&Go=Change+View
  11. AI GA Aircraft

    Todd's been a busy fellow! Thanks it's nice to know about these new models.
  12. Could be that some posky models were converted to native FSX but I'm not sure. I think Sky Spirit is a sort of successor to posky and they have some FSX models: http://ssp.cyber-ninja.jp/ They also have a FB page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/407992835888461/ I have not used the models myself, this is just what turned up with some searches. Cheers.
  13. I found this link in a separate thread: http://web.archive.org/web/20140625120530/http://poskyarchive.com/ I thought all POSKY models were made for FS9 but can be used in FSX.
  14. FSUIPC

    Try running FSX as Administrator
  15. Thanks I have it sorted now. I just needed to be sure to install the other addons before the Alaska ones.
