  1. Make sure to use this when changing driver. It does make a difference! http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
  2. X plane for VFR (I can see my house! (W2XP) And my beehives! (G2XPL)) P3D for IFR (No PMDG, VoxATC, FS2Crew for XP) DCS for Military jets (Textures and autogen not loading fast enough in P3D and no good aircrafts for XP) Cliffs of Dover for Military props (Textures and autogen not loading fast enough in P3D and no good aircrafts for XP)
  3. I can fly twice as long with UTX compared to Vector... up to 40 min. Once I even made a landing before the usual OOM crash! B)
  4. I do have some problems with OOM sometimes. Should I stop thinking about these add-ons? Anybody knows if they use up a lot of VAS? I just don't want to buy any more software that I can´t use. REX ACCUFEEL GSX VOXATC FS2CREW
  5. You are not alone: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/465144-question-regarding-prepar3d-25-behavior/
  6. Did some testing now with HT off and got what I think is normal CPU usage. Full power on core 0, 2 and 3. Instead of that strange 60-70% on all 8 cores with HT on. Just using a 1Tb SSD and no HD. No other processes with any significant CPU load active (only 1%). GPU 50-60%. Trashed Prepar3d.cfg and shader files. No change at all with anything  Trees and autogen are on the suburbs of Stockholm loading at a speed of 400 kt, in city center 300 kt. So if fly at a speed of 350 kt from ESSA to Stockholm I have a empty and blurry world in front of me by the time I get to city center. (only a few custom buildings) Thank you Jay for trying to help! and sorry Jose that I kind of hijacked your tread!
  7. I forgot to mention that Prepar3d was running with GPU at 40-60% load and no core on CPU at 100% So why isn't it loading the scenery properly in time?
  8. Yesterday I did all sort of stress and benchmarking tests for GPU and CPU with very good result. (Cinebench, Furmark, MSI Kombustor and more) Flew XP, DCS and COD with close to 100% GPU load and at least one core on 100%, with very good result. And then the usual "P3D Testrun". Monitoring and tweaking with the very excellent tool Process Lasso. (make sure you know what you are doing if you use it) About 10 runs with different setting but with very similar result: Take off from default runway at ESSA in F14. Flying a few times over the airport and watching the construction and deconstruction of Arlanda... it takes about 5 to 10 sec for it to rebuild every time I look that way. Then south towards Stockholm 400 kt, 3000 feet... time for a sip of coffee... 4 freezes at 3 sec each every time, just south from Arlanda. Right in front of "the Globe" in Stockholm City I pause the sim... for a longer coffee break... Takes about 10 sec for the autogen to catch up with me from behind and more than 30 sec before the are all loaded around me and the blurries gone. Where is the bottleneck? I can´t come to any other conclusion than: Running Prepar3d is fine at high altitude in big airliners or turning of Track IR and the 4k monitor, stay away from big cities and big airport and open cockpit aircrafts and not flying faster than a Cessna. Got one sim, working very fine, but no addons or aircrafts to buy for it (XP) And loads and loads of stuff that I would have bought if the sim only could run it (P3D) Very sad, very depressing! :( I really really hope they fix it, LM! (the way it looks sometimes... absolutely breathtaking :o) But I don't think that there is anything we as end users can do... I'm sure I would have stumbled on it by now... if that was the case. Winter has been long in Sweden <_< and I've reinstalled win, reinstalled different versions of P3D and Nvidia drivers and all those different settings and tweaks to .cfg files over and over again. Well well... back to the sandboxes! (DCS, COD) B)
  9. Sorry I was a bit unclear there... I meant my computer and my situation. (exactly the same). What I find odd is that running X plane, DCS or COD the GPU is running at 100% most of the time. And no stutter or blurries. But with Prepar3d the GPU is at around 50-60% and stuttering and blurries all around. Running 2.3 a few month ago I had the same problem with blurry textures. That time Prepar3d started with only 3 cores activated. And the simple solution was to activate core 0 in taskmanager after Prepared was started and all blurries were gone. I did reinstall 2.3 but now it starts on all 4 cores (and I can't do the same trick) How weird is that!? And actually now Prepar3d runs better with HT on (both 2.3 and 2.5) but far from good. Quote from prepar3d.com/forum December 16, 2014 at 03:58 By Hermes82 "I had problems with blurries before, one of the p3d v2 releases disabled core 0 allowing it to run on cores 1,2 and 3, most people added an infinity mask to start the sim on core 0 at startup but it reverted to dumping the hard work back on core 0, I simply re enabled core 0 in task manager and had excellent response with it, virtually no blurries and noticed in task manager that it hadn’t reverted to dumping all the work back on core 0 but shared the load equally between core 0 and 1, I also disabled hyperthreading as it seems to slow things down and create heat issues, when 2.3 came out it was back to starting on core 0 and blurries were back, eventually I found a program that limits prepar 3d to starting only on cores 1,2 and 3 and v2.3 and 2.4 run fine re enabling core 0 after you’re in the cockpit, the program is called process lasso, it basically allows all core configuration through everything you can do with a cpu, very easy to use and although it’s payware the free one allows you to use the only function you’ll need, the program is called process lasso and you can find it here https://bitsum.com/howfree.php give it a try, it’s free and only takes 5 minutes to install, one issue you’ll finde is that if you use the drop down menu at all process lasso will revert back to cores 1,2 and 3 so you’ll need to re enable it, if for any reason while flying you start to get blurries again check process lasso again, I have a reasonably modest machine so if I can get it to work correctly it should help most people out, my system is i7 2700k, asus gtx 750ti standard oc, 500 gb velociraptor dedicated to p3d, 8gb ddr3 ram and gigabyte B75-D3V motherboard, hope this helps out"
  10. Jose Perdomo. You are not alone. Same situation here. Or was really... I have given up. I was not enjoying it and I was not smart enough to fix it. Tried all tweaks and setting and sometimes I thought it was better... but no, there is a lot off placebo involved in flight sim, that is for sure. Find it hard to believe that there is something wrong with the hardware when all other sims are working very fine. ( X Plane, DCS, COD) (oh dear I wish I could have kept my P3D aircrafts for X plane  ) If you find out what is wrong I might have a go at it again... But I´m not going to try any more obsolete tweaks or "fix everything settings".
  11. Very nice Aircraft. Good value/price! And no problem at all with performance/FPS.
  12. Deleted 2.5 and installed 2.3 instead. "Freezes" 100% gone and I can use the latest Nvidia driver without getting microstutter. Autogen is loading OK. Blurry textures is a lot less. Only really a problem with the UTX roads. Maybe there was something wrong with my 2.5 installation!? But for now I´m leaving it as it is. Winter is over and I´m sick and tired of messing about with the computer... and the flying vs tweaking ratio in P3D is ridiculous... so I´m of to Norway now in my beloved Spitfire. Better leave the military jets for DCS or I have to learn how to fly looking backwards... because behind me is where the nice scenery eventually pops up!
  13. Yeah very similar situation! I think I will go back to 2.3. Or maybe 2.4 (That I never used) Is the "affinity mask problem" fixed in 2.4 (like in 2.5)? Or is it like 2.3 (only 3 cores running)? INTEL, get on with it! Need a faster CPU! B)
  14. Thank you very much! But I´ve done all that over and over again. In all sort of variations. Made a lot more than a 100 restarts and "my testrun" exactly the same every time. And the one thing that I can´t do anything about is the "blurries"! I took away ORBX Vector and replaced it with UTX europe. Very much recommended!!! And fun to see that all the stuff I added to "openstreetmap" (roads, lakes, rivers) now turns up in the sim... But very very blurry roads! I use very low settings compared to Rob Ainscough's. And the strangest thing is that the GPU is never working on 100 % (usually 60%) and often the highest load on any core in the CPU is 80%. And FPS is good, but still blurries!
  15. I have tried FFTF from 0.01 to 0.66. and different settings for TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT and TextureMaxLoad. No major change! I get more stutter if I use anything but fps to unlimited and vsync / triple buffering on. Nothing left in NI but SGSSAA. New installed windows on a rig used only for flightsim. Tried different or no overclocking on CPU and GPU and RAM. XP and DCS and COD and ROF is working perfectly but not P3D.
  16. Win 8.1, 4770k, Titan, 4k monitor. Microstutter: Fixed it by using Nvidia driver 337.88 instead of the latest one. (just me having trouble with that driver?) Autogen popping up late: Fxed by turning on hyperthreading (are you guys using that?) 1-2 sec freezes: I can live with that… (until Skylake I guess). Blurry textures: This is why I have my finger on the "delete P3D button"! I find this so irritating that I can not use Prepar3d. Better use that expensive SSD space for something else. I had the same problem in 2.3 (never used 2.4) Textures loading really slow. Changed the affinitymask in task manager everytime i started Prepar3d and it was fine. Now it´s the same but there is nothing to change about the affinity mask. Maybe I will try 2.3 again!? So… Anyone out there with some magic that I have not yet tried? I have tested all settings in Nvidia inspector/control panel, all tweaks in prepar3d.cfg imaginable… basically all that can be "googled" about blurry textures I have tried. I really don't want to but …. I think I have to give up... or have a break... will be back... the eyecandy in prepar3d is very addictive! Haze
  17. I wonder what did happened "when many tried to hack the Real Air Turbine Duke into P3D"?
  18. So we will have the VSR Superbug and the F14... We need some MIG's and Sukhoi's now! B)
  19. Wow! It is happening! I thought they were not going to support P3D at all!? (for consumers/student). A dream is comming true! I started flying with F18 Hornet 1997.
  20. Anybody using Airtrack with 2.3? I can´t get it to work! No luck with step 5 and 6... How do I open Com ports 2424? (works fine with X Plane)
  21. Why? I really don´t know... I´m not a pilot. I will probably never ever get close to a real F 15. But once in a while I get the feeling that it´s very real. A feeling of traveling through air... Not moving in a computer game! Orbx/Rex/A2A/P3D high over Alaska, dogfighing with the Spitfire in Cliffs of Dover, Colimatas MIG 29 in X plane and the F 15 i DCS. The other end of the scale is landing any aircraft in Prepar3d (on those absolutely flat runways)
  22. Will I ever be able to enjoy flying another aircraft in any other sim after a few weeks with the updated F15 in DCS/flaming cliffs 1.28!? B) Nothing even remotely close to that i P3D!
  23. Anybody got the Aerosoft - VFR London X to work?
  24. And the bug i still there in P3D 2.2! Here it is a problem only in FSX/P3D. All other games/sims are working without problems.
  25. Waiting for an update... (And flying x plane instead) B)
